摘要: In storing of radioactive wastes by drying, pulverization and pelletizing, radioactive waste pellets are solidified with an alkali silicate solution as a filler, a substance having an action to harden the alkali silicate solution, and a substance having an action to absorb the water formed by the hardening reaction of the alkali silicate solution, or a substance having both actions to harden the alkali silicate solution and to absorb the water formed by the hardening reaction. The solidification can be attained with easy operation and prolonged stability at a low cost.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for decontaminating metal components which have been contaminated on their surfaces with radioactive substances, characterized in that radioactivated oxide films on the metal surfaces are electrolytically removed by an alternating electrolysis method in a neutral salt solution. According to the invention, oxides and hydroxides for metals removed by the electrolytic treatment are separated from the electrolyte and solidified. The method of this invention makes it possible to positively remove the radioactivated oxide films from a base metal.

摘要: The present invention provides drying and pulverization of a radioactive liquid waste containing sodium borate as a main component by heating, where the liquid waste is heated, dried and pulverized to substantially crystalline, homogeneous powder of sodium borate while suppressing occurrence of a foaming phenomenon of the powder. The susbtantially crystalline powder is obtained by heating, drying and pulverizing the liquid waste at a temperature outside the temperature range where the salt powder takes an amorphous state in the course of releasing water of crystallization from the salt powder. In the drying and pulverization of a liquid waste containing sodium borate by a thin film evaporator, occurrence of the foaming phenomenon can be suppressed by maintaining the temperature on the heat transfer surface of the evaporator at a temperature lower than 150.degree. C.

摘要: The present invention allows a programmable controller in a stored program system to easily execute even complex sequence control. A memory (50) has stored therein a first program of the ladder type and a second program described in another program language such as PASCAL or FORTRAN. First and second setting devices (51) and (52) set the execution times for processing by the first and second programs, respectively. A management device (53) executes the processing according to the first and second programs alternately for the periods of time set by the first and second setting device (51) and (52).
