摘要: A transmission apparatus is capable of retaining an endless transmission chain on a rotatable member, even where a small inter-axis distance remains between two rotatable shafts to which each of two rotatable members is drivingly connected. The transmission includes a drive sprocket member for connecting to a main drive shaft. The transmission also includes a driven sprocket member, connected to the output shaft in parallel with the main drive shaft and including a plurality of transmission sprockets. The transmission further includes a chain interconnecting both sprocket members, and a transmission shift mechanism for positioning the chain among the transmission sprockets. The drive sprocket member is supported at the main drive shaft in the rotary center line direction, in such a way that the chain is applied to both sprocket members in parallel with a plane crossing at a right angle with the rotary center line of the main drive shaft.

摘要: An oscillator circuit includes a current source for generating a current depending on the ambient temperature, a plurality of oscillators for oscillating at respective periods depending on the current from the current source and based on different relations between the ambient temperature and the periods, and a frequency demultiplication unit for receiving an output signal from one of the oscillators selected by a period selecting circuit 103. The frequency dividing ratio of the frequency demultiplication circuit is set so that a higher ambient temperature provides a smaller frequency dividing ratio.

摘要: A connector receptacle (20) is constituted by a contact (2) to which a data signal is serially communicated through a connector plug and a physical layer basic circuit (5) provided inside the connector receptacle (20) and adapted to perform specified processings so that the data signal is parallel communicated between the basic circuit and a link layer circuit for the communication. As a result, the distance between the contact (2) and the physical layer basic circuit (5) is short. Therefore, it is not necessary to pay so much attention as in conventional cases in designing a pattern layout (7) so as to prevent influence on the EMI and transmission characteristics, and it is easy to design the layout of the pattern constituting the transmission line for the data.

摘要: The present invention provides an electronic device having high insulating reliability, in which metal portions of a circuit are not electrically conductive with each other via an adhesive layer even when the electronic device is used in high-temperature low-humidity conditions or high-temperature high-humidity conditions, and provides a production method for the electronic device, and a semiconductor device comprising the electronic device. In the electronic device in which a circuit formed by pattern formation of metal portions is attached via an adhesive layer to an insulating base, the adhesive layer, which contacts adjacent metal portions, is divided. Typically, the electronic device is one of a lead frame having a lead frame fixing tape, a TAB tape, and a flexible printed circuit board.

摘要: A spread spectrum communication system including a transmission side for transmitting a frame-structured transmission signal containing at least one preamble (having information on a transmission destination) and data subsequent to the preamble(s) while spread-spectrum-modulating the transmission signal with a PN code, and a reception side having a correlator for performing correlation between the PN code of the transmission signal and a reference PN code and a PN code generator for generating the reference PN code. At the reception side, the PN code of the preamble of the transmission signal and the reference PN code are correlated with each other to obtain correlation peaks, and the periodicity of the correlation peaks is detected and a prescribed number of correlation peaks is counted, thereby identifying the transmission signal as being addressed to the receiver.

摘要: A media selecting device enabling a user to easily select any desired one of a plurality of selectable media. The media selecting device according to the present invention can easily select any one of a plurality of hierarchically-related icons by turning a rotary disk-type knob. The user presses a first change-over button to access the icon selected by the disk-type knob, and to display icons of a lower hierarchical layer or to display a deciding medium represented by icons. The user can press a second change-over button to cancel the selected icon, and to display icons of an upper hierarchical layer. Furthermore, the displayed icons have different three-dimensional shape and location information, and are disposed in a three-dimensional virtual space, thus increasing visibility and control of the device.

摘要: To eliminate the delay time from when a request is made for playing a prescribed tone until it is actually played. Tone data in which the beginning part of the data that generates one effect sound is uncompressed data and the remaining part is compressed data, is stored in a compressed data unit. An arithmetic processing unit reads the data stored in the compressed data unit and decides whether this data is compressed data. If the data is uncompressed data, the data is transferred via multiplexer 9 to speaker 50 and is played. While the uncompressed data is being played, the remaining data is transferred to an expansion unit, where expansion processing is performed on it. If the expansion-processed data requires later-stage processing, it is stored in a post-expansion data unit, and if no such processing is required, it is transferred via a multiplexer to a speaker and is played.

摘要: A vane of a compressor is made of solid phase sintering material of which a sintering density is not less than 7.2g/cm.sup.3 and a hollow rate is not more than 10%, and to which CrN phase is adhered through a PVD process. A roller of the compressor is made of hardened and tempered material having a hardness equal to cast iron FC300 (specified by JIS). The roller may be made of hardened and tempered material including at least one of Ni, Cr and Mo, and having a hardness equal to cast iron FC300. The vane and roller are combined, so that a sliding section having excellent abrasion-resistance can be constructed. As a result, a rotary compressor, which employs R134a or R22 coolant as well as HFC system or HC system coolant both of which are R22 substitutes, having extremely high reliability can be realized.
