摘要: A thin-film magnetic head, a magnetoresistance effect magnetic head and an MR inductive head are disclosed. The thin-film magnetic head has one of thin-film magnetic cores stacked on a substrate and formed of two magnetic films and a non-magnetic film held between them, with a current flowing through the thin-film magnetic core in the direction of hard axis thereof. The magnetoresistance effect magnetic head has one of a pair of shield cores having a magnetoresistive element between them formed of two magnetic films and a non-magnetic film held between them, the magnetoresistive element being electrically connected to the shield core, with a sense current flowing through the shield core. The current flowing through the one shield core via the magnetoresistive element is preferably an AC of decrement amplitude for demagnetizing the shield core along with a DC sense current. Also, this current preferably flows in the direction of hard axis of the shield core so that magnetic properties of the shield core are stabilized or demagnetized by the magnetic field generated in the direction of easy axis. The MR inductive head has a second thin-film magnetic core as a common magnetic body of an MR head and an inductive head on one substrate, formed of two magnetic films and a non-magnetic film held between them, with a current flowing through the second thin-film magnetic core in the direction of hard axis thereof.

摘要: A spindle motor includes a printed wiring board. A stator is fixed to the printed wiring board. A housing is fixed to the printed wiring board. A bearing is provided on the housing. A rotor shaft is rotatably supported by the bearing. A hub base is mounted on the rotor shaft. A stator winding provided on the stator is bonded to the printed wiring board. The stator may have an inner circumferential portion formed with a plurality of grooves. In this case, it is preferable that the printed wiring board has a plurality of through holes at positions corresponding to positions of the grooves in the stator.

摘要: A power screw driver includes a clutch mechanism composed of a coiled clutch spring so designed as to entangle a drive shaft member and an output shaft member to connect them together, thereby enabling the drive and output shaft members to rotate in unison. By the use of the coiled clutch spring, the clutch engaging operation is achieved smoothly and silently without accompanying impact blow or shock, thereby securing reliable transmission of a torque from the drive shaft member to the output shaft member. The coiled clutch spring may be activated only when the drive shaft member is rotating in the forward direction, in which instance a one-way clutch is used to undertake transmission of the torque when the drive shaft member is rotating in the reverse direction. As an alternative, a single clutch spring may be used to undertake transmission of the torque in the forward and reverse rotational directions. Alternatively, two coiled clutch springs each provided for one rotational direction may be used.

摘要: There are provided apparatuses for generating the motion path of an object. One apparatus includes an input unit for inputting information representative of the position of a start point of the motion of an object, at least one of the magnitude and direction of a velocity at the start point, an end point of the motion of the object, and at least one of the magnitude and direction of a velocity at the end point, and a calculation unit for calculating a motion path from the start point to the end point, in accordance with the information inputted to the input unit. As an alternative of the position and velocity of an object, the rotary angle and angular velocity of an object may be used to represent the facing direction of the object. Another apparatus includes a display device for displaying information of the position of an object and an icon representative of the time corresponding to the position of the object, and a calculator for calculating information representative of the motion path, in accordance with the information entered by the icon and information representative of at least one of the magnitude and direction of a velocity at the position of the object. The motion path is then displayed on the screen. The motion of an object can be easily defined and smoothly coupled to a succeeding or preceding motion on each key frame. The path and/or surface reflection attribute of an object can be defined with a small number of procedures.

摘要: A weld-position detector, attached to an automatic welding machine such as a welding robot, having three independently produced indispensable units, i.e., a laser-beam projecting unit for projecting a detection laser-beam, a scanning unit for directing the detection laser-beam towards weld portions of a workpiece and scanning the detection laser-beam across the welded portions, and a light-receiving unit for detecting the detection laser-beam reflected by the workpiece to thereby detect the position of the weld portions. The weld-position detector further having a fixture provided with reference faces on which the three independent units are accurately mounted. The scanning means having a movable reflecting mirror is provided with an optical axis adjusting unit for adjusting the position and the posture of the scanning unit so as to adjust the optical axis of the detection laser-beam until the optical axis of the detection laser-beam, after being reflected from the workpiece, arrives at the light-receiving unit.

摘要: A cooling means for removing heat generated in a portion of a solid ball-and-screw shaft (27) provided for a screw mechanism accommodated in an industrial robot and engaged with a linear motion nut (28) accommodated in the linear motion mechanism. The cooling means permits a cooling medium, typically cooling air, to flow through a cooling medium passage (33) formed in an unthreaded end portion of the shaft (27) and having an end connected to a rotative drive motor (M), to flow through a radial hole (34) having one end connected to the cooling medium passage (33) and the other end opening into an annular space surrounding an external surface of the shaft formed with a screw thread (27a), and to flow through the annular space along the surface of the threaded portion of the shaft (27), to thereby remove heat generated at the threaded portion engaged with the linear motion nut (28).

摘要: A method for controlling ignition timing of an internal combustion engine and an apparatus for practicing the method are disclosed which are adapted to determine ignition timing depending upon information on an engine speed detected, to thereby control the ignition timing. Pulsin signal counting is started evey time when a reference signal is generated from a signal generator to count first, second and third numbers N1, N2 and N3 of pulse signals, to thereby obtain information on an engine speed depending upon the difference between time T2 when the counting of the second number of pulse signals is completed and time T1 when that of the first number of pulse signals is completed, and then the information is used for obtaining ignition timing measuring time equal to a period of time between time T3 when the counting of the third number of pulse signals is completed and target ignition timing T1. The measuring of the ignition timing measuring time is started after the counting of the third number N3 of pulse signals is completed.

摘要: An ultrasonic microscope comprises an acoustic lens for emitting an ultrasonic beam, a movable shaft for supporting a sample, and a drive circuit for moving the movable shaft and thus the sample relative to the acoustic lens in a z-direction. Two signals for eliminating x-direction and y-direction inclinations of the sample relative to the acoustic lens are supplied to the drive circuit in synchronism with an x-direction drive signal and a y-direction drive signal, so that the sample is moved in the z-direction and scanned with the ultrasonic beam in an x-y direction while the sample inclination sample to the acoustic lens is being eliminated.

摘要: At least two vibration proof elements are interposed between a tool body and the handle thereof. Each of the elements has a first supporting member connected to the handle, and two rubber blocks interposed between the first and second supporting members so that the element functions as a shock absorber. The first supporting member is partially received in the second supporting member in such a manner that the first supporting member is reciprocally movable with respect to the second supporting member when a force is applied to the element in a longitudinal direction of the tool body. Each of the first and second supporting members has a U-shaped portion so that the inner surface of the second supporting member abuts the outer surface of the first supporting member thus preventing the handle from excessively rotating about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and passing through the elements.
