    摘要: An improved multistage flash evaporator comprises a plurality of cylindrical shells parallelly and horizontally extending in spaced relation, tube sheets in pairs supported by opposite end portions of the cylindrical shells, each pair of the sheets holding a bundle of cooling tubes therebetween, a top plate connecting the upper portions of the shells to one another, internal bulkheads connecting the lower portions of the shells to a bottom plate, and demisters mounted between the shells, whereby the bulkheads are reduced in height and wall thickness to an economic advantage as compared with the conventional bulkheads, and the demisters are made adjustable in surface areas according to the evaporation loads to be encountered.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a polyester film which has not only uniaxially enhanced mechanical properties but also biaxially enhanced mechanical properties. The process involves heat-setting a biaxially oriented polyester film at a temperature above that used for the machine and transverse direction stretching and above that used for the machine direction re-stretching, but at least 10.degree. C. below the melting point of the polyester, then re-stretching the film in both the machine and transverse directions, and re-heat-setting the film.

    摘要: An automatic analyzer uses probes for detecting liquid levels based on a capacitance detection method. Erroneous detection of liquid levels due to interference caused by the frequency difference of oscillators is reducted. When frequencies f1 and f2 of respective detector ocillators, which are originally equal to each other, are different by approximately several Hz from each other due to a manufacturing variation, oscillation waveforms are added to liquid level detection voltages, causing a premature determination that the probes have contacted the liquid surface before actual contact therewith. By setting the difference between the frequencies f1 and f2 of the detector oscillators to be in the range of several kHz, an oscillation waveform corresponding to the difference between the frequencies is added to the detection voltages, but the amplitude values of the high-frequency components are attenuated by high-frequency attenuators, thereby ensuring accuracy in the liquid level detection.
