摘要: Coolant water is prevented from stagnating with no restriction to a mounted posture of an EGR cooler to a vehicle. The EGR cooler has tubes 3 and a shell 1 surrounding the tubes 3, coolant water 9 being fed into and discharged from the shell 1, exhaust gas being passed through the tubes 3 for heat exchange of the exhaust gas with the coolant water 9. An annular coolant-water supply chamber 11 is fitted over the shell 1 near an axial end of the shell 1. A coolant-water inlet pipe 4 is connected to a periphery of the supply chamber 11. Communicating holes 12 are formed at a plurality of peripheral positions sequentially along a portion of the shell 1 surrounded by the supply chamber 11 such that the holes have gradually reduced diameters as they are apart from the connection of the shell with the inlet pipe 4, so that the coolant water 9 may be introduced into the shell 1 substantially evenly through the communicating holes 12.

摘要: In order to improve a response to a sensitivity of an accelerator pedal of a motor vehicle and a sudden acceleration of the vehicle, width of an insensitive zone provided in a vicinity of a portion of a first logic pattern for auto-cruise control, in which portion a difference of accelerator opening is zero, is made very narrow or a second logic pattern having substantially no insensitive zone is provided, which is selected under a specific condition such as when the vehicle runs on an ascending road.

摘要: A particulate filter integrally carrying an oxidation catalyst is arranged in an exhaust pipe through which exhaust gas from a diesel engine flows. A NOx-absorption reduction catalyst is arranged in the exhaust pipe and downstream of the particulate filter. A bypass line is branched from a portion of the exhaust pipe between the particulate filter and the reduction catalyst and is connected to a portion of the exhaust pipe downstream of the reduction catalyst. A selector valve is arranged at the branch point of the bypass line and may be switched over to guide the exhaust gas either to the reduction catalyst or to the bypass line. As a result, without difficultly controlling the operation of the diesel engine, the reduction catalyst is prevented from being poisoned and deteriorated by sulfate, the lowering of the ratio of NOx purification through the NOx-absorption reduction catalyst is averted and prolongation of its life is attained.

摘要: There is provided a vehicular floor construction in which when a floor panel is assembled to a chassis frame, by surely preventing a collar from coming off a boss, the efficiency of work for assembling the floor panel to the chassis frame can be improved. A floor panel formed of a synthetic resin is mounted on a chassis frame, and the floor panel is fixed to the chassis frame by bolts and nuts. Bosses mounted on the chassis frame are formed of a synthetic resin integrally with the floor panel on the lower surface of the floor panel, and each of the bosses is formed with a through hole through which the bolt is inserted. A collar made of a metal is provided on the boss so as to be brought into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the boss, and the collar is formed with a slit extending in the lengthwise direction of the collar.

摘要: Disclosed is an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system which enables excellent recirculation of exhaust gas from an exhaust manifold to an intake pipe even in a high load zone of an engine equipped with a turbocharger. The EGR system is equipped with a generator coaxial with the turbine and installed between the compressor and turbine of the turbocharger such that an amount of electric power to be generated by the generator can be controlled.

摘要: A travel control device includes: a switching determination unit configured to determine whether a traveling mode of the fuel cell vehicle is switched from a first traveling mode in which the fuel cell vehicle travels mainly using power generated by a fuel cell to a second traveling mode in which the fuel cell vehicle travels using discharge power of a battery; and a permission determination unit configured to determine whether to permit traveling in the second traveling mode based on a charging rate of the battery when the switching determination unit determines that the traveling mode has been switched from the first traveling mode to the second traveling mode, in which the permission determination unit is configured to permit traveling in the second traveling mode when the charging rate of the battery is greater than or equal to a predetermined charging rate threshold for permission.

摘要: A charging/discharging control device includes a route information acquisition unit, a section identification unit that identifies an excessive discharging section and an excessive charging section, and a charging/discharging control unit that controls charging and discharging of a battery. The charging/discharging control unit limits a charge current value in the excessive charging section to a fixed first upper limit value. The state of charge reaches a maximum state of charge at an end point of the excessive charging section when the charge current value is maintained at the first upper limit value. The charging/discharging control unit limits a discharge current value in the excessive discharging section to a fixed second upper limit value. The state of charge reaches a minimum state of charge at an end point of the excessive discharging section when the discharge current value is maintained at the second upper limit value.
