Abstract: Industrial blockchain digital twin change management (e.g., using a computerized tool) is enabled. For example, a system can comprise: a memory that stores executable components, a processor, operatively coupled to the memory, that executes the executable components, the executable components comprising: a blockchain component that stores a digital twin fingerprint for a digital twin of an industrial automation system to an immutable blockchain ledger and stores a configuration fingerprint representative of a configuration of the industrial automation system to the immutable blockchain ledger, wherein the digital twin fingerprint is associated with the configuration fingerprint, a change component that determines a change to the industrial automation system, and an update component that facilitates creation of an updated digital twin, representative of the change, and updates the digital twin fingerprint and the configuration fingerprint based on the change.

Abstract: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) supports collaborative editing of translation tables used to facilitate rendering of the system project text in different defined languages. Rather than merging edits by comparing text representations of the edited translation tables on a line-by-line basis, the system expresses the edited and base versions of the translation tables as information models that represent the translation table versions as hierarchical organizations of nodes representing content of the tables, and compares corresponding nodes of the information models to obtain differential statuses for the nodes. The various versions of the nodes are then merged into a single consistent model based on the differential statuses of the nodes.

Abstract: A system for distributed multi-axis motion control includes a controller having a memory configured to store a control program and a processor configured to execute the control program. A desired motion trajectory is determined for a multi-axis system having multiple axes, and an axis command is generated for each of the axes as a function of the desired motion trajectory. The system also includes multiple motors and multiple motor drives. Each of the motors corresponds to one axis for the multi-axis system, and each of the motor drives controls at least one of the motors responsive to receiving the axis command for the corresponding motor. Each of the motor drives also determines a motion state for a link driven by the motor as a function of the axis command and transmits at least a portion of the motion state to another motor drive controlling another axis.

Abstract: An industrial automation component includes an electronic display that displays machine-readable indicia. The machine readable-indicia may be scanned by an image sensor. The industrial automation component also includes a processor communicatively coupled to the electronic display. The processor receives data associated with the industrial automation component and generates a first machine-readable indicia based on the data. The first machine-readable indicia may be displayed via the electronic display. The processor also receives updated data associated with the industrial automation component and generates a second machine-readable indicia based on the updated data. The second machine-readable indicia may be displayed via the electronic display.

Abstract: An industrial controller can perform multi-dimensional optimization locally using the controller's native hardware and processing. An optimization algorithm is encoded on the industrial controller in a language understandable and executable by the controller (e.g., IEC61131-3). The optimization algorithm is adapted for the scan-based processing performed by industrial controllers rather than sequential processing, thereby allowing the optimization algorithm to be executed by the industrial controller as part of the controller's control program execution. A control program development system allows a user to add and configure the optimization algorithm as an instruction within the controller's control program. The instruction's configurable parameters allow the user to submit constraints and cost functions for the algorithm. During runtime, the controller executes this optimization instruction in accordance with the optimization parameters submitted by the user during development, using values of specified data tags as inputs and outputs for the algorithm.

Abstract: A motor-drive system may include a rectifier, a metal-oxide varistor (MOV) assembly, and an inverter. The rectifier may generate a direct current (DC) voltage based on a first voltage received from at least one supply voltage line coupled to a voltage source. The MOV assembly may include at least two metal-oxide varistors (MOVs) respectively coupled to the at least one supply voltage lines. The MOV assembly may couple between the voltage source and the rectifier. The motor-drive system may also include a permanently-installed jumper to couple at least one MOV of the at least two MOVs of the MOV assembly to a system ground. The inverter of the motor-drive system may convert the DC voltage to an alternating current (AC) voltage, which may be provided to a load of the motor-drive system.
