A door opening and closing device for a slide door, which can be horizontally open and close the slide door by application of a light load and which can be constructed and maintained at low costs. The door opening and closing device has a transmission mechanism for converting through a lever (31) the amount of settlement of a tread plate (21) placed on floor surfaces at positions in front and back of the slide door (12), into a predetermined displacement amount. The tread plate (21) is weight-wise balanced such that the transmission mechanism and settlement of the tread plate due to the weight of an adjustment weight (W) causes the tread plate (21) to float through the lever (31). Up-down movement of the long transmission member (32) presses a drive rotation body (42) to an open door rail (41), and a component force of the pressing force allows the slide door (12) to be opened by application of a light load.

The operator includes a handle and a spring. The handle is configured for pivotal connection to the arm and has a housing defining a cavity. The housing has a first protrusion extending into the cavity and a second protrusion extending into the cavity, the second protrusion being spaced from the first protrusion. The spring is positioned within the cavity and between the first protrusion and the second protrusion. An auxiliary operating device for manually operating a normally motor-operated closure between open and closed positions, the device comprising a shaft, a driving member mounted to the shaft and displaceable between an idle position and an operational position wherein the driving member is operatively coupled to the closure. The device further comprises a manual actuator for first displacing the driving member from its idle position to its operational position and then driving the driving member in order to displace the closure. The actuator can be advantageously mounted at either end portions of the shaft irrespectively of the position of the driving member on the shaft.

A vehicle door that may include a latch/window regulator module and rear and forward integrated channel/regulators, is disclosed. The rear integrated channel/regulator may include a glass run channel that is integral with a window regulator guide rail, and may also have a door latch assembly mounted to it. Other features may be integral with and extend from the rear integrated channel/regulator. The forward integrated channel/regulator may include a glass run channel that is integral with a window regulator guide rail, and may include an integral flange to which a cable drum and motor are mounted. The latch/window regulator module may be pre-assembled before being assembled into the vehicle door.

A barrier operating system having a diagnostic performance feature includes a motorized barrier movable between limit positions and a counterbalance system coupled to the barrier. A disconnect mechanism may be interposed between the motor and the counterbalance system so that the barrier can be moved manually without assistance from the motor. A position detection device is coupled to either the barrier or the counterbalance system and generates a barrier position signal. One of the motor and the position detection device generates operational parameter values for the barrier moving in either direction. A controller receives the operational parameter values and the barrier position signal, and as the barrier is manually moved, the controller compares operational parameter values for each direction of movement at a given position and generates a diagnostic signal based upon the comparison.

A drive arrangement for a shaft has a module carried by the shaft and including a motor, a driven wheel and a drive wheel. The motor, gearbox and drive wheel are carried on a slider plate which can slide transverse to the axis of the shaft. A front plate is fixed transverse to the axis of the shaft. A Bowden cable has its sheath attached to the front plate, and its inner cable attached to the slider plate, so that manipulation of the Bowden cable at a remote location allows force to be applied between the plates either tightening the belt to apply drive from the motor to the shaft, or releasing tension in the belt, to disengage the drive.

An actuating mechanism includes a motor, a tube, a transmission, a shank, a worm, a worm wheel, and a spring; the tube has a steel roll-up curtain connected thereto, and can be turned in one direction for winding the curtain around it, and in the other direction for unwinding the curtain; the transmission is joined to an output shaft of the motor and the tube; the shank is joined to a main body of the motor and the worm wheel; the worm has a toothed side for engaging the worm wheel, and it has a straight side facing in an opposite direction to that of the toothed side; the spring is fixed at one end, and securely joined to the transmission at other end; the roll-up curtain can be manually opened and closed without power supply to the motor after the worm is disengaged from the worm wheel.
