    摘要: The present disclosure relates to downhole tools, including downhole valves, which actuate via a pressure differential created across a shifting element having one or more pressure surfaces isolated from fluid, and fluid pressure, flowing through the interior flowpath. Embodiment downhole tools of the present disclosure may actuate in response to, among other signals, fluid pressure in the interior flowpath of the tool and fluid pressure communicated to a pressure surface of the shifting sleeve from the exterior of the tool. Certain embodiments may also have an outlet connector whereby fluid pressure from the downhole tool may be communicated to its exterior, including to additional tools in the tubing strings via flowlines connecting the two tools.

The tubular mandrel is configured so that when the power tong device grips a tong gripping surface on the tubular mandrel and the first well tubing in order to connect the tubular mandrel and the first well tubing, the first connection is located within the gripping span.

The coating can be made from: a frangible substance that loses structural integrity after introduction of the isolation device into the wellbore via application of a force; a substance that undergoes a phase transformation at the phase transformation temperature of the substance after a period of time has elapsed since introduction of the isolation device into the wellbore; or at least an anode of a galvanic system comprising the anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte, wherein the anode undergoes galvanic dissolution after introduction of the isolation device into the wellbore.

The sliding member allows fluid communication via the one or more ports of the housing when the sliding member is in the second position, and the actuation system is configured to allow the sliding member to transition from the first position to the second position in response to recognition of the electromagnetic signal by the receiving antenna.

    摘要: A system and method for selectively locking open or close a gravel pack-circulating sleeve is disclosed. The sleeve is movably coupled to a first chamber containing a fluid. The first chamber is fluidly connected to a second chamber through a fluid flow controller. Shifting of the sleeve between open and closed positions is resisted by a the fluid flow controller. The resistance to fluid flow can reduce or eliminate inadvertent shifting of the sleeve due to short bumps and small loads upon the sleeve. To overcome the resistance to fluid flow and to shift the sleeve, a continuous load can be applied to the sleeve.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are presented for removing a degradable barrier plug positioned in a downhole axial passageway. The degradable plug is initially isolated from fluid by at least one solid, non-degradable cover. A first electronic rupture disc assembly is actuated to open a passageway to the degradable plug. A second electronic rupture disc assembly is actuated to allow a fluid, such as water from a supply chamber, to flow into contact with the plug. The plug is substantially degraded, although the cover remains. A third electronic rupture disc assembly is actuated to bend and then cover the remaining solid cover, thereby opening the axial passageway and protecting later-introduced tools.
