Abstract:
Techniques for benchmarking pairing strategies in a contact center system are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for benchmarking pairing strategies in a contact center system comprising: cycling, by at least one processor configured for contact center operations, among at least two pairing strategies; and determining, by the at least one processor, a difference in performance between the at least two pairing strategies, wherein at least one contact was paired in a sequence of contact interactions to reach a final outcome during a final contact interaction of the sequence of contact interactions.

Abstract:
In one or more embodiments, an apparatus includes a data server, a VoIP server, and a processing circuit. The VoIP server routes VoIP calls to and from a plurality of telecommunication devices associated with respective user accounts. The VoIP server stores data generated by the plurality of telecommunication devices on the data server. The user accounts each have a settings file associated with the user account. In response to a set of criteria indicated in the settings file of one of the user accounts being satisfied, the processing circuit logs into a data server remote to the VoIP server using login credentials included in the settings file. In further response to the set of criteria being satisfied, the processing circuit copies one or more data files associated with the user account from the data server to the remote data server.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for logging driving information associated with a vehicle when driven are disclosed. In one aspect, a mobile telecommunications device is provided that is adapted for installation to a vehicle and configured to log driving information associated with the vehicle when driven. The mobile device is arranged to register the start of a driving period during which the mobile device is installed to the vehicle and the vehicle is being driven by a driver. The mobile device is also arranged to process sensor data during the driving period to derive driving information associated with how the vehicle is driven. The mobile device is also arranged to store a selection of the driving information to a memory.
Abstract:
A computerized system and related method for assisting a user with placing a telephonic call, comprising a user interface, computerized processing, and computerized storage for: a user specifying an originally-specified telephone number to place an intended telephonic call, which telephone number, as originally-specified, for at least one particular reason, cannot be used to successfully complete the intended telephonic call; the user, after specifying the originally-specified telephone number, later specifying later-specified telephone number elements, including the possible deleting or ignoring of part of the originally-specified telephone number; and causing the telephonic call to be successfully signaled using the originally-specified telephone number in combination with the later-specified telephone number elements, without the user having to re-specify the originally-specified telephone number.
Abstract:
A method for managing visual voicemail messages includes displaying a list of voicemail messages on a telecommunications handset, receiving user commands for operating on the voicemail messages including a delete message command and in response to a delete message command, marking a voicemail message for deletion with a delete timestamp and moving the voicemail message to a Deleted Messages folder. A Deleted Message Age Indicator function processes to control permanent deletion of voicemail messages in the Deleted Messages folder based on delete timestamps and a global Delete Time value in cooperation with a visual voicemail platform.
Abstract:
A transmission terminal includes: a memory to store, for each one of a plurality of candidate counterpart terminals that the transmission terminal is capable of communicating, address information indicating at least a location of the candidate counterpart terminal on a network; a user interface to receive a user input of address information of a counterpart terminal, and a communication start request that requests to start communication with the counterpart terminal; a processing circuitry to store the address information of the counterpart terminal received at the user interface in the memory, to register the counterpart terminal as a candidate counterpart terminal for the terminal; and a transmitter to send a request to start communication with the counterpart terminal using the address information of the counterpart terminal that is received at the user interface.
Abstract:
Techniques for handling contacts and agents in a contact center system are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for handling contacts and agents in a contact center system including identifying a plurality of contacts ordered for assignment to a plurality of agents, and assigning a first out-of-order contact from the plurality of contacts to a first agent of the plurality of agents who becomes available for assignment to any contact of the plurality of contacts based on information about the first agent.
Abstract:
A method for telephony includes receiving at an Internet telephony service provider a subscriber request to place a call to a telephone number. A cache associated with the internet telephony service provider is queried to check if the cache holds a record for the telephone number. If the cache holds the record, the record is obtained. If the cache does not hold the record, a request is sent to a database server that maintains a database of records associating endpoint user terminal telephone numbers of subscribers with respective packet network addresses of the endpoint user terminal. The call is placed to the endpoint user terminal telephone number via a public switched telephone network while the request is sent to the database server to retrieve the packet network address of the endpoint user terminal to which calls to the telephone number should be placed.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for sending marketing messages to mobile-device users from a mobile-commerce platform are described. In various illustrative embodiments, a marketing message is transmitted to a mobile-device user before, during, or after a transaction between the mobile-device user's mobile device and the mobile-commerce platform. The marketing message can be generated and timed based on rules input to the mobile-commerce platform by a merchant and can be based on historical transaction data associated with the mobile-device user, transaction parameters associated with a current or a most-recently-completed transaction involving the mobile-device user, a transaction type of a current or a most-recently-completed transaction involving the mobile-device user, or a combination thereof, depending on the particular embodiment.
