摘要： A gear drive casing apparatus is disclosed for enclosing a gear drive used in a hygienic and sanitary environment. The gear drive casing apparatus includes a member having an external contoured surface, the member enclosing the gear drive. A further member has a further external contoured surface, the surface and the further surface cooperating with each other to define therebetween a smooth uninterrupted intersection such that the contoured surfaces and the intersection therebetween are easily cleaned. The surfaces and intersection present a self-draining configuration which inhibits the entrapment therein of any deleterious materials that would support the growth of bacteria, fungi, mold and other microorganisms.

摘要： A method of retaining and sealing a cover (1) to a housing (2) of a machine includes applying a fluent adhesive material (4) to one or both of the surfaces of the cover and housing which confront one another when the housing and cover are in an assembled condition, assembling the cover to the housing such that the fluent adhesive material is interposed between the cover and the housing over at least part of their confronting surfaces, applying holding elements (5) to the cover and the housing with the adhesive material interposed therebetween to retain them in their relative positions and then effecting an increase in the mechanical strength of the adhesive material sufficient to retain the cover in position on the housing in normal operation of the machine.

摘要： An automatic transmission wiring connector is constituted by: a hollow housing provided with a male-terminal lead-out portion; a solubilized synthetic-resin member insertable into a rear-end opening portion; a relay terminal insert-molded together with the solubilized synthetic-resin member so that a male terminal portion is exposed in a hood portion through the male-terminal lead-out portion from a male-terminal insertion portion; and an electric wire fixed to a wire connection portion of the relay terminal exposed to the outside from the male-terminal insertion portion of the solubilized synthetic-resin member. Accordingly, the solubilized synthetic-resin member is heated and melted by the temperature of the injected resin for the insert molding to thereby seal the inside air-gap and the surroundings of the male terminal portion surely to increase the adhesion of the solubilized synthetic-resin member.

In order for the sealing part of the tubelet to be securely sealed, it is provided that it has a central guide peg which is coaxially encircled by a stud, so that an annular groove, into which the casing of the tubelet is inserted, is constructed between the guide peg and the stud.

This ensures that dead spaces created in a section opposed to both the movable pulley halves which move axially can be utilized as spaces for disposition of the forward- and backward-movement switchover mechanism and the starting clutch, thereby enabling the forward- and backward-movement switchover mechanism and the starting clutch to be disposed in a compact layout.
