摘要: The invention relates to the technical field of mortars, concretes, and other compositions based on cement, and in particular to agents capable of modifying their rheological characteristics, in particular workability. Workability may be defined as the property of a hydraulic binder to remain workable during as long a time as possible. The invention relates to novel agents of the acrylic copolymer type having urethane functions for improving the workability of hydraulic binders, to a method of preparing such novel agents, to binders containing them, and to uses for them. Such agents have the advantageous property of not retarding the setting time.

摘要: Copolymer dispersants for use in an aqueous emulsion containing fillers pigments or both where the copolymer has the formula (I)--(A).sub.a --(B).sub.b --(C).sub.c -- (I)whereinA represents units resulting from acrylic or methacrylic acid monomers,B represents units resulting from styrene monomers or a derivative thereof,C represents units resulting from C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl acrylate or methacrylate monomers,a, b and c represent the percentages by weight of A, B and C, respectively with respect to total weight of the monomers, wherein the copolymer yields a homogeneous solution which is clear to cloudy in a medium of neutral or alkaline pH and wherein the copolymer has a specific viscosity of less than or equal to 15, which imparts increased water resistance to dry or drying films made from aqeuous emulsion compositions containing the copolymer dispersant. The resulting aqueous compositions are useful as textured coatings, coatings, aqueous paints and coating compositions.

摘要: Water-soluble polymers and/or copolymers possessing enhanced biodegradability, and their applications are disclosed.Acrylic and/or vinyl polymers and/or copolymers containing acid groups, in which 35% to 90% of the active acid sites are neutralized by magnesium ions, the specific viscosity is at most 25, and biodegradability is enhanced. Their decomposition after 36 days is greater than 50% as measured by the modified Sturm test. These polymers can be used in industries as varied as: paper-making, paints, plastics, petroleum, drilling fluids, water treatment, detergents, cosmetics, textiles, inks, leather, grinding and/or splitting of minerals in water.

摘要: A grinding agent for refining coarse lime by grinding in an aqueous medium to a microparticulate size, composed of a water-soluble ethylene polymer and/or copolymer, wherein, said grinding agent:a) is formed from a least one monocarboxylic ethylenically unsaturated monomer, andb) has an average molecular weight of between 200 and 1,900 g/mole.Grinding in the presence of the grinding agent allows the production of aqueous lime suspensions which have a high concentration of dry material expressed in weight percent, preferably between 40% and 60%, with particles of a size of less than 4 microns and median diameter of less than 2.9 microns.
