摘要: One aspect of this disclosure pertains to a UE configured for controlling connection continuity in a system comprising a first gateway device having a first established PDU session with a telecommunications network storing a first session management context for the first gateway device associated with the first established PDU session and providing a local network for a plurality of UEs using the first established PDU session of the first gateway device and a further device having a second established PDU session with the telecommunications network storing a second session management context associated with the second established PDU session. The UE is configured to control connection continuity by transmitting a PDU session modification request to the telecommunications network comprising a reference to first PDU session information in the first session management context stored in the telecommunications network for the UE to include at least part of the first PDU session information in the second session management context. Alternatively or in addition, the UE may be configure to transmit an access request to the first gateway device comprising a reference to second PDU session information in the second session management context stored in the telecommunications network to include at least part of the second PDU session information in the first session management context.

摘要: An encoder system and computer-implemented method may be provided for generating a video stream for a streaming client. The system and method may determine a part of the video which is or would be occluded during display of the video by the streaming client, for example on the basis of signaling data received from the streaming client. A video stream may be generated by, before or as part of encoding of the video, omitting the part of the video, or replacing video data in the part by replacement video data having a lower entropy than said video data. The video stream may be provided to the streaming client, for example via a network. Accordingly, a better compressible version of the video may be obtained, which when displayed by the streaming client, may still contain all or most non-occluded parts visible to a user.

摘要: A mapping system and method may be provided for facilitating setup of an application data flow between an edge application server which may be instantiated on one or more edge nodes of a mobile network and a remote server outside of the mobile network. The system and method may obtain a client identifier identifying a client device configured to utilize an edge application service of the edge application server, obtain an external endpoint identifier of an external endpoint of the edge application server, wherein the external endpoint allows the edge application server to be reached by data communication from outside of the mobile network, generate mapping data associating the client identifier with the external endpoint identifier, using the mapping data, provide a communication interface to enable a network entity which is configured to setup the application data flow between the edge application server and the remote server to obtain the external endpoint identifier on the basis of the client identifier. Such a mapping system may enable application data flows to be setup between edge application servers in different mobile networks on the basis of the mapping data.

摘要: A communication network may be provided having a plurality of network nodes and which may be configured to enable instantiation of different network slices which represent virtual networks with different feature sets, e.g., providing different network functions and/or having different network characteristics. The communication network may be configured to allow a network slice to be used for data communication between i) a user equipment (UE) connected to the network and configured to execute an application, and ii) a content or application server (CAS) configured to provide an application service via the network. Network functions may be provided which allow influencing the UE's slice usage based on requirements of the application service, even if the CAS is located outside the connectivity provider's network, e.g., outside a mobile operator's domain.

摘要: The invention provides a streaming client with a streaming presentation of an event, with said presentation being obtained by dynamically switching between a plurality of media streams which represent different recordings of the event. For that purpose, source data is obtained from a plurality of stream sources. The source data is constituted by content data and/or metadata of concurrent portions of the plurality of media streams. By applying a quality assessment function to the source data, a quality score is assigned to each one of the concurrent portions. This allows selection data to be generated which enables the streaming client to access a selected one of the concurrent portions of a respective media stream. For example, a segment may be selected which provides a highest quality score. By doing so, it is therefore not required anymore for a consumer to manually switch between different media streams.

摘要: A method comprises listening (151) for transmission of a preamble by a transmitting device to a recipient and receiving (153) data in a second time interval upon receiving the preamble in a first time interval. The second time interval succeeds the first time interval. The method further comprises listening (155) for transmission by the recipient of a message, e.g. a NACK, indicating that data transmitted in the second time interval was not successfully received by the recipient and retransmitting (157) the data in a fourth time interval upon receiving the message in a third time interval.

摘要: A method of processing video data of a picture is described, the method including: allocating memory for a decoded picture in a decoded picture buffer, DPB, the decoded picture comprising pixels representing video data; receiving a bitstream comprising decoding units, DUs, and storing the DUs in a coded picture buffer, CRB, the DUs representing a coded picture that needs to be decoded into the decoded picture, each of the DUs representing a coded block of pixels; determining if, during decoding of the coded picture, at least one partial output can be performed, the at least one partial output including copying the one or more decoded DUs from the DPB to a data sink, while one or more DUs of the coded picture are not yet decoded and removed the CPB, the one or more decoded DUs representing a part of the decoded picture; and, or performing the at least one partial output if the processor determines that the at least one partial output can be performed, the performing including marking the one or more decoded DUs stored in the DPB as being ready for partial output, the marking signaling the decoder apparatus not to remove the one or more decoded DUs from the DPB; and, copying the one or more marked decoded DUs from the DPB to the data sink without removing the one or more decoded DU from the DPB.

摘要: Next generation network architectures enable instantiation of network slices in which traffic may be transported via one or more virtual networks overlaying the physical network infrastructure. Multiple of such network slices may share a resource of a particular network function, such as a bandwidth, switching capacity, computing capacity and/or storage capacity of the network function. It may be desirable to provide guarantees on the minimum resource availability of the shared resource per network slice. Accordingly, a slice resource distribution function (SRDF) may be provided which may be configured manage the resource utilization of the shared resource which may safeguard guarantees on the minimum resource availability per network slice.
