    摘要: A wheel bearing assembly for an automotive wheel equipped with a detector for the number of revolutions of a wheel hub. It has an outer member and two inner members mounted in the outer member through rolling elements. A pulse ring in the form of a multipolar magnet is mounted in the bearing assembly so as to be fixedly held in annular grooves formed in the outer periphery of the inner members at their abutting ends or to be supported on one of the inner members. A sensor including a Hall IC is mounted in the outer member at such a position as to face the pulse ring. The pulse ring rotates with the inner members to allow the sensor to detect the rotational speed of the wheel.

    摘要: An autotensioner includes a cylinder having its bottom closed and filled with a hydraulic oil and air, an oil seal mounted in the cylinder to seal the hydraulic oil and air, a rod slidably extending through the oil seal, and a piston slidably mounted in the cylinder with its top end abutting the bottom of the rod. The interior of the cylinder is separated into an upper reservoir chamber and a lower pressure chamber by the piston. Both chambers communicate with each other through a channel formed in the piston. The rod is biased by a spring mounted in the reservoir chamber in such a direction as to protrude from the cylinder. A check valve is provided in the pressure chamber near the bottom of the piston to open the channel in the piston only when the pressure in the pressure chamber is lower than the pressure in the reservoir chamber. The cylinder may have an outer casing and an inner sleeve so that the piston can slide on the inner surface of the sleeve.

    摘要: A clutch having an outer member, an inner member mounted in the outer member, a cage interposed between the outer and inner members and cam elements movably mounted in pockets formed in the cage. Torque-setting elastic members are provided between the cage and one of the inner and outer members so that while the torque on the elastic member is smaller than a preset value, they will rotate in unison with some clearance left therebetween in the direction of rotation. When the torque on the elastic member gets larger than the preset value, the elastic member deforms to allow the cage to turn relative to the member engaged therewith. Now, the cam elements are pushed by the cage into engagement with both cam surfaces formed on the inner periphery of the outer member and the outer periphery of the inner member, thus brining the two members into engagement.

    摘要: A method of machining tapered roller bearing inner rings, wherein after the inner ring raceway groove 14 has been finish-ground, the inner ring small end face 13 and cone back face rib surface 12 are simultaneously finish-ground. In the manufacture of double row tapered roller bearings, in order to ensure that the assembly clearance which is produced during assembly of double row tapered roller bearings is always maintained constant, the method is intended to finish the raceway groove diameter to a predetermined dimension on the basis of the small end face 13, even if there is a variation in the diameter of the raceway groove 14 of each tapered roller bearing. Thus, the method comprises converting any deviation of the raceway groove diameter from a target dimension into a deviation in the inner ring axial direction, feeding the converted value back to an in-process control gauge 30 for controlling grinding operation, and simultaneously grinding the small end face 13 and cone back face rib surface 12 of the inner ring 10 by an end face grinding stone 42 and a rib grinding stone 41 integrally connected with the former, under the control of the gauge.

    摘要: An air/fuel ratio compensating device is provided for association with an internal combustion engine having a fuel control valve, air suction pipe means and pedal accelerator means, the compensating device including an area flow metal system made up of a flow detection valve positioned upstream in the air suction pipe means and operatively associated with the fuel control valve, a flow control valve positioned downstream in the air suction pipe means in series with the flow detection valve and being operatively connected to the accelerator pedal means, the area flow meter system enabling the difference in pressure existing on opposite sides of the flow detection valve to be maintained at a predetermined value to insure that the amount of air flow is proportional to the opening area of the flow detection valve thus permitting a determination of the amount of air flow on the basis of the opened area of the flow detection valve, a feedback control mechanism for controlling the area control flow meter and including pressure sensitive amplifier means to detect and amplify the deviation of the difference in pressure, valve opening means connected to the amplifier means and operatively associated with the flow detecting valve for opening and closing the flow detection valve by the output from the amplifier means, and compensating means for compensating for the set value placed in the pressure sensitive amplifier means according to the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine.

The improved clutch has an outer member, and a cage mounted between the outer and inner members and formed with a plurality of pockets. The improved clutch further comprises a pair of rolling elements mounted in each pocket, and a spring mounted between the rolling elements so as to bias the rolling elements away from each other into wedge-like spaces in the pocket. In the event that an associated driving system fails, the improved clutch of this invention is disconnected from the steering wheel since the outer member coupled to the driving system becomes unlocked from the inner member which is coupled to the steering wheel.
