摘要: The present invention provides a process for producing a water-absorbent resin, characterized in that a reverse-phase suspension polymerization of a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer is carried out in a hydrocarbon dispersion medium comprising a dispersion stabilizer while an azo-based compound and a peroxide are combined in the presence of an internal-crosslinking agent, in that the following formulae are satisfied, 0.10≦B/(A+B)  (1), and 0.055≦B+9×C≦0.120  (2), wherein A mol, B mol and C mol represent used amounts of the azo-based compound, the peroxide and the internal-crosslinking agent, respectively, relative to 100 mol of the water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer used in the polymerization, and in that a post-crosslinking reaction is carried out by adding a post-crosslinking agent after the polymerization. The present invention also relates to a water-absorbent resin having specific performance and produced by the process.

摘要: An object of this invention is to find a method for introducing a functional group into an aliphatic polycarbonate without impairing the excellent thermal decomposition property of the aliphatic polycarbonate.
An aliphatic polycarbonate comprising a constituent unit represented by formula (1):

wherein R1, R2, and R3 are identical or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-10 alkyl group optionally substituted with one or more substituents, or a C6-20 aryl group optionally substituted with one or more substituents, wherein two groups from among R1 to R3, taken together with the carbon atom or carbon atoms to which these groups are attached, may form a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated 3- to 10-membered aliphatic ring; and X represents a divalent group containing one or more heteroatoms or an alkylene group having 3 or more carbon atoms, and

a constituent unit represented by formula (2):

wherein R4, R5, R6, and R7 are identical or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-10 alkyl group optionally substituted with one or more substituents, or a C6-20 aryl group optionally substituted with one or more substituents, wherein two groups from among R4 to R7, taken together with the carbon atom or carbon atoms to which these groups are attached, may form a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated 3- to 10-membered aliphatic ring,

the content of the constituent unit represented by formula (1) being 0.1 mol % or more and 1.5 mol % or less, based on the total amount of the constituent units of formula (1) and formula (2).

摘要: Provided is a water-absorbing resin composition that is capable of achieving both high liquid diffusion and liquid leakage prevention in an absorbent. The present invention provides a water-absorbing resin composition, wherein: an electromotive force P(mV) of a first-washing washing liquid, obtained as a result of washing the water-absorbing resin composition by means of the washing method indicated below, is equal to or greater than 80 V; and the difference (P−Q) between the electromotive force P(mV) and an electromotive force Q(mV) of a second-washing washing liquid, obtained as a result of washing the water-absorbing resin composition by means of the washing method indicated below, is equal to or greater than 10 mV. (Washing method) A container in which a sieve having a mesh size of 36 μm is attached to the bottom of a cylinder having an inner diameter of 60 mm is prepared. 1 g of the water-absorbing resin composition is evenly dispersed on the sieve in the container. A 200 mL beaker is placed under the sieve. 200 g of a physiological saline solution is rapidly introduced from above the water-absorbing resin composition and the physiological saline solution that has flowed down into the beaker is used as the first-washing washing liquid. Next, a new 200 mL beaker is placed under the sieve. An additional 200 g of the physiological saline solution is rapidly introduced from above the water-absorbing resin composition and the physiological saline solution that has flowed down into the beaker is used as the second-washing washing liquid.

摘要: An aqueous dispersion composition includes in a stably dispersed state a copolymer comprising an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or an ester thereof as a constituent unit. The composition has a relatively high content of the copolymer and a relatively low viscosity. A production method for the aqueous dispersion composition is also provided. The method is for producing an aqueous dispersion composition of a copolymer comprising an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or an ester thereof as a constituent unit. The method includes the steps of (1) mixing a copolymer comprising an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or an ester thereof as a constituent unit, a basic substance, and water such that the concentration of the copolymer is 40 to 62 mass%, and that the copolymer is neutralized to a degree of neutralization of 10 to 35%, (2) applying a pressure of 0.1 to 2 MPa to the obtained mixture, and (3) further adding water after the pressure application to adjust the concentration of the copolymer to 30 to 60 mass%.
