摘要: Methods and devices are provided for repairing a damaged contact pad that is located on a first surface of a printed circuit board and connected to a via that passes through the circuit board. According to the method, a countersink hole is created in the first surface of the printed circuit board in a location that is substantially centered on an axis passing through the via, and a replacement structure is inserted into the countersink hole. The replacement structure has a stem portion, a head portion, and a shoulder portion that connects the stern and head portions, with the angle of the shoulder portion substantially matching the angle of the shoulder of the countersink hole. The stem portion of the replacement structure is permanently attached to sidewalls of the via so as to electrically couple the head portion of the replacement structure to the via.

摘要: A method of manufacturing flexible magnetic tape having a permanently structured magnetic characteristic which varies from place to place in two different directions in the plane of the tape, includes:—a) coating a flexible substrate with a slurry having anisotropic magnetic particles; b) moving the substrate and slurry coating relative to a first magnetic field having a field strength which varies with time in a first direction, thereby selectively orienting the particles in areas spaced apart in a first direction; c) subsequently moving the substrate and slurry coating relative to a second magnetic field having a field strength which varies with time in a second direction making an oblique angle with the first direction, such that the magnetic particles are selectively oriented in spaced areas in both the first and further directions, and d) solidifying the slurry to fix the particles in place.

摘要: A receiver of a frequency-modulated signal is provided. The receiver includes a frequency-transposition unit for lowering the frequency of the frequency-modulated signal, and a digital demodulator for regenerating a digital signal from the frequency-transposed signal. The frequency-transposition unit includes a local oscillator for generating a local oscillator signal used in lowering the frequency of the frequency-modulated signal. The frequency-transposed signal is sampled in the digital demodulator at the rate of a sampling signal, and the sampling signal is generated by the local oscillator of the frequency-transposition unit. In a preferred embodiment, the local oscillator includes at least one frequency-divider circuit that delivers the sampling signal. Also provided is a method for regenerating a digital signal from a frequency-modulated signal.

摘要: A dynamic foldering system automatically manages the creation and deletion of run-time dynamic folders and selection of documents, items, or object graphs found in the run-time dynamic folders. The system comprises a query/predicate for a design-time folder group based on which dynamic folders are automatically managed, a variable binding mechanism, automatic identifications of dynamic folders containing a particular object, parallel navigation, and customized combination of foldering results. The dynamic folder hierarchy is defined by a hierarchy of design-time folder groups defined by a query/predicate on a document comprising structured or semi-structured data. Modifiable criteria for creating the dynamic folder hierarchy are provided by the user. Variable binding provides powerful query/predicate definitions on hierarchical data or graph-structured data. Given a document, the system automatically identifies which dynamic folders contain the document.

摘要: A method of making bibs wherein an elongated web of absorbent paper is laminated with an elongated web of plastic film to form a laminated web by embossing the absorbent paper and heat sealing the embossed area with the plastic film. The embossed areas are in the form of an array of spaced areas of a predetermined geometry. A stripe of an adhesive is applied along an edge of the laminated web of absorbent paper and plastic film on the plastic film side thereof. The stripe of adhesive is covered with a release tape. The laminated web is severed transversely at predetermined longitudinal intervals to form individual bibs, which are collected.

摘要: The disclosed invention is a highly reliable cost effective sound direction detection system. In the preferred embodiment of the invention the system comprises a device which includes two microphones set at a spread of at lease 5 cm from each other, a digital signal processing (DSP) and a command processing board. A pattern recognition algorithm allows the system to recognize the signal of an actual event and distinguish it from echoes and reflections according to several parameters such as the signal's time of arrival, energy, amplitude levels and frequency. The pattern of the recorded signals is analyzed according to prevalent signal patterns and then the real event can be identified. By identifying the signal of the sound event and distinguishing it from background noises and from its reflections, the system can calculate its direction of arrival (DOA) using classical sound direction detection methods.

摘要: A method is provided for processing a virtual address for a program requesting a DMA transfer. The program is designed to be run in user mode on a system on a chip that includes a central processing unit, a memory management unit, and a DMA controller. The virtual address is a source virtual address or a destination virtual address and has a size of N bits. According to the method, the virtual address is divided into at least two fields of bits. For each of the fields, there is created an N-bit address word comprising a prefix having a given value associated with the field and having more than 1 bit, and the field. The DMA controller is programmed using multiple store instructions that include one store instruction relating to each of the address words created.
