    摘要: A surgical tensioning device for dynamically holding two tissue portions in contact with one another comprises a resilient body having a plurality of spring elements, and a plurality of stop members for limiting travel of the spring elements in order to control energy stored or delivered by the spring elements. A length of suture is also provided, wherein a first end of the suture is connected to the resilient body at a first attachment point and a second end of the suture is connected to the resilient body at a second attachment point. In one embodiment, the stop members contact one another to limit compression of the spring elements. When the suture is placed in tension, the spring elements move to an extended configuration and the stop members move apart, creating gaps between ends of each of the stop members. When the gaps become sufficiently large, edges of the stop elements contact corresponding spring elements to impede further widening of the gaps and consequent further extension of the spring elements, thus protecting the springs.

    摘要: An end treatment array for crash attenuation includes a transition barrier module formed of side walls, end walls, a top wall, and a bottom wall, wherein the module walls together define an enclosed interior space. The end treatment array further includes a containment impact sled having an axially extending frame. The frame has a width sufficient to contain the transition barrier module within the frame when in an assembled configuration, and has an axial length which is at least one-half the length of the transition barrier module. The frame defines an interior volume, the purpose of which is to contain a substantial portion of the transition barrier module in the assembled configuration, and to contain debris caused by destruction of the plastic barrier modules in a vehicular impact. The containment impact sled is attached to the transition barrier module.

    摘要: A method of resistor matching in analog integrated circuit layout is disclosed. Shapes of mismatching resistor blocks are analyzed to obtain geometrical information for deforming the mismatching resistor blocks. The mismatching resistor blocks are deformed into centrosymmetrical blocks according to the obtained geometrical information, each mismatching resistor block being decomposed to a plurality of unit-resistors. The unit-resistors are placed into matching resistor blocks to return a resulting layout with improved matching quality by reducing centroid offset between a centroid of the unit-resistors and a centroid of the matching resistor block.

    摘要: Two spaced bodily tissues are approximated with a surgical tensioning device comprising a resilient member and a pressure locking device. The method comprises a step of routing one end of a length of suture through both spaced bodily tissues and inserting the suture end into and through the pressure locking device. The suture is then tensioned by pulling on the suture end passing through the pressure locking device. Responsive to tension changes in the suture, the pressure locking device is actuated by moving at least one surface in the pressure locking device to clamp the suture in position.
