    摘要： A method of synchronising a multimedia content file with an associated text file includes subdividing the text file into one or more samples, where each sample includes zero or more consecutive characters of the text file. The samples are associated with a corresponding contiguous time interval of the multimedia content file. For each sample, a corresponding consumption rate value is determined, which represents a use ratio of characters of the sample within the associated time interval of the multimedia content file. The consumption rate values are then stored, so that they may subsequently be used to compute time positions within the multimedia content file associated with corresponding text characters within the text file. Additional information, such as time cues and interlude intervals, may also be recorded in order to improve the accuracy of synchronisation. A corresponding method for cueing of playback of a multimedia content file to its associated text is also provided, along with computer-implemented and networked apparatus implementing the synchronisation, cueing and playback methods.

    摘要： A ball valve assembly for use as a control valve for controlling the flow of gas through a continuous stroke pneumatic tool. The valving element is generally spherical and non-magnetizable. The generally spherical valving element is loosely confined between two concave generally conical surfaces, which are provided on valve seat members. The concave generally conical surfaces are opposed to one another to define a valve chamber therebetween. Sufficient clearance is provided so the generally spherical valving element is free to roll and tumble as it moves in the valve chamber between the concave generally conical surfaces. This allows the ball valve assembly to be self purging of excess lubricant, dust, and the like. Wear is distributed over the entire generally spherical surface of the valving element. The loose confinement is also sufficient to provide a relatively large cross-section of gas passageway through the control valve assembly. The two valve seat members are suitably ported to permit the ball valve assembly to be used as a drop-in replacement for prior pneumatic tool control valves.

    摘要： An interlock for two circuit breakers, with the circuit breakers configured in the same electrical circuit and with each circuit breaker having a cross bar and contact assembly. The interlock comprises a pivot pin mounted a spaced distance from the two circuit breakers. An interlock yoke having two ends, with a notch proximate each end of the yoke and the yoke is coupled to the pivot pin. A first operator rod having a first end is configured to engage the cross bar and contact assembly of one circuit breaker and has a second end configured to engage the notch of the yoke. A second operator rod having a first end is configured to engage the cross bar and contact assembly of the other circuit breaker and has a second end configured to engage the notch of the yoke. When one operator rod is moved by the cross bar and contact assembly of one circuit breaker, that operator rod pivots the yoke, causing the other operator rod to block the operation of the other circuit breaker.

    摘要： Systems and methods for creating a limited risk derivative based on a realized variance of an underlying equity is disclosed. In one implementation, a limited risk derivative product includes a capped value for a statistical property reflecting a variance of the underlying equity is calculated based on a pari-mutuel action. The capped value includes a dynamic value and a cap. The dynamic value reflects an average volatility of prices returns of the underlying equity over a predefined period of time and the cap reflects a maximum value of the dynamic value. The limited risk derivative product additionally includes an average of a summation of each squared daily return of the underlying equity included in the value for the statistical property reflecting the variance of the underlying equity.
