    摘要: A wireless electronic device is provided. The wireless electronic device in a wireless communication system has a first data transmission path with a core network. The wireless electronic device includes a processor configured to perform the following instructions. A second data transmission path with a second wireless electronic device, coupled to the core network, is established. An access stratum module of the wireless electronic device is deactivated after the wireless electronic device receives a release request from the core network via the first data transmission path. The AS module is activated when a mobile data is generated by the wireless electronic device. The first data transmission path with the core network is established in response to context information received from the second wireless electronic device via the second data transmission path. The mobile data is transmitted to the second wireless electronic device via the second data transmission path.

    摘要: Group paging methods and wireless communication devices and base stations using the same methods are proposed. In some embodiments, group identifiers are partitioned into different pools and assigned to wireless communication devices based on their mobility. When a base station intends to perform group paging, specific devices, not responded to the previous group paging, will be paged, or the group paging is repeated, and the other devices which responded to the previous group paging ignore the repeated group paging in a period of time. In other embodiments, a device responds to the group paging at the opportunity of random access process based on the indicator given in its idle information or the indicator given in paging message with some pre-determined mathematical operation or the pre-determined mathematical calculations on its device identity.

    摘要: In this invention, a novel vertical handover control algorithm, consisting of a throughput-based mapping function, QoS-based dynamic handover thresholds, and performance-based trigger timers, are proposed to resolve uncommon pilot problem, QoS requirements, and ping-pong effects, respectively. An analytic model based on a finite state machine is developed to evaluate the proposed algorithm in terms of the handover frequency and achievable throughput. A numerical analysis is also provided to further quantify the performance impacts.
