    Abstract: Provided herein are systems, devices and methods for retaining chromatographic minicolumns in a holding fixture. A retaining apparatus may be provided with a pair of laterally spaced apart upright supports and a horizontal beam spanning between the upright supports to hold them in the laterally spaced apart relationship. The apparatus may be configured to contact a holder plate only along peripheral edges of the holder plate. The apparatus may be configured to slide along the holder plate after the minicolumns have been inserted therein, thereby retaining the minicolumns in the holder plate but allowing access to the minicolumns through vertical holes in the horizontal beam.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of analysing a sample, comprising the analysis of clinical-chemical parameters and the analysis of immunodiagnostic parameters in a fully automatic analysis apparatus, wherein the analysis apparatus comprises a pipetting apparatus, at least one holder for a reagent cartridge containing the components necessary for carrying out the analysis, a holding apparatus for a measurement cell, at least one measurement cell, with each reagent cartridge being associated with a measurement cell, a holding apparatus for a sample container containing sample, and a photometric or spectrometric measurement device. On the basis of a sample it is possible here for a plurality of different clinical-chemical and/or immunodiagnostic parameters to be determined, to which end a dedicated reagent cartridge is inserted into a holding apparatus of the analysis apparatus for each clinical-chemical or immunodiagnostic parameter to be determined.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a cartridge assembly tray for conducting automated biochemical tests, such as immunoassay tests. The tray comprises a base member, a hinged frame and a locking mechanism. The base member includes a plurality of slots within the base member. Each of the plurality of slots is to receive a test cartridge. The hinged frame is coupled to the base member. The hinged frame is capable to rotate to an opened position or a closed position. The hinged frame includes a horizontal push bar configured to apply a downward force to test cartridges received in the plurality of slots when the hinged frame is in the closed position. The locking mechanism is to lock the hinged frame in the closed position when the hinged frame rotates to the closed position.
