摘要: A voice command system may enable a user to select, replace, delete, and/or modify items of textual content associated with, or following, headings and/or subheadings of a document by providing an input including a command (or identifier) and a heading/subheading identifier. The system may recognize, via voice recognition software and in combination with a rule set, the command and the identifier. For example, the system may include rules for determining a particular heading/subheading of the document being referenced by the identifier. The system may also include rules for identifying the textual content related to the identified heading/subheading. Once the textual content is identified, the system may automatically select or delete the identified textual content, and/or place a cursor (for example, a text input cursor) in a location where the deleted textual content was previously located.

摘要: Systems and techniques are disclosed for dynamically and automatically selecting an appropriate compression technique and/or compression parameters for digital images in order to reduce or prevent loss of significant information that may negatively impact the utility or usefulness of the digital images. For example, based on various image characteristics associated with a digital image, the system may dynamically compress the image using particular compression techniques and/or by adjusting compression parameters, to maintain significant information of the image. The system may select compression techniques and/or compression parameters based on one or more compression rules, which may be associated with image characteristics, patient characteristics, medical history, etc. Further, the system may, based on the one or more compression rules, compress the image to a maximum degree of compression while maintaining the significant information of the image.

摘要: For certain medical images, it is important and/or required that a user view all of a medical image at full resolution so that minute, but important, indicia in the medical image are not missed. A computing systems monitor the portions of the medical image that are displayed on the display device, notates those portions that have been displayed at full resolution (or other user-defined display parameters), and provides the user with information indicating portions that have not been viewed at full resolution and/or provides information indicating for which images of a multiple image examination full pixel display has been accomplished. The process reduces the possibility of missing an abnormality in a medical image due to the viewer not viewing a portion of the image at full resolution or using other user-defined display parameters.

摘要: Systems and methods that allow transfer and display rules to be defined based on one or more of several attributes, such as a particular user, site, device, and/or image/series characteristic, as well as whether individual images and/or image series are classified as thin slices and/or based on other characteristics, and applied to medical images in order to determine which images and/or image data are analyzed, downloaded, viewed, stored, rendered, processed, and/or any number of other actions that might be performed with respect to medical image data. The system and methods may include image analysis, image rendering, image transformation, image enhancement, and/or other aspects to enable efficient and customized review of medical images.

摘要: A smart placement module determines components of received medical data, such as medical reports and image montages, to forward to one or more secondary location, such as an EMR system, based on smart placement rules that are established by a user that receives the medical data, such as a referring doctor. Thus, the smart placement module decreases or removes the need for the receiving user to manually select and transfer certain medical data for storage at the EMR system. Accordingly, the receiving user, and other authorized EMR system users, may have prompt access to the medical data via their respective connections to the EMR system. In one embodiment, the smart placement module transmits a patient identification file that is usable by the receiving EMR system to allow the EMR system to associate received medical data with other data regarding a respective patient.

摘要: After selecting two or more image series for comparison, images of the image series are interleaved so that they are alternatively displayed in a comparison pane on a display device. In one embodiment, after one or more image series are selected for comparison, an interleaved image series is created containing each of the images of the one or more selected image series, or, alternatively, the interleaved image series comprises links to the images arranged in the interleaved pattern. If differences exist in the images of the multiple image series, these differences may be more easily detectable as the display device cycles between the images. Comparison of images in an interleaved image series may be more advantageous if the images of each selected image series are of a common anatomical area, common image size, and the images are in the same order.

摘要: A medical and/or clinical report includes one or more links to various external (and/or internal) data sources and/or systems that include information relevant to the medical report. In an embodiment, a medical report may be in a PDF format and include links to images associated with the exam, information regarding the patient, a scheduling application useful to schedule additional procedures for the patient, and/or any other information associated with the patient or exam. The medical report, including various links, may be generated based on information received from external medical data systems. For example, a medical report from an external system may be updated to include various links to systems and sources of data related to the medical report, as described herein.
