    摘要: A multi-phase buck converter has a digital compensator to select a set of compensation coefficients depending on the operating phase number of the multi-phase buck converter, or including different compensators for each operation phase number to improve the loop gain bandwidth, transient response and stability of the multi-phase buck converter. The multi-phase buck converter operates with more phase circuits for higher loading and operates with fewer phase circuits for lower loading. The compensation varies with the number of the operated phase circuits so to be adaptive to the operation condition with an optimized control-to-output voltage transfer function.

    摘要: For a multiphase interleaved voltage regulator, an offset cancellation circuit is applied for each phase separately. The current loop gain of each phase is thus increased to mitigate the beat-frequency oscillation in phase currents when the beat frequency is below the bandwidth of the low-pass filter in the offset cancellation circuit, without introducing additional instability issue that is the drawback of increasing current-sensing gain.

The method searches for one or more signal lines which are overlapping with the selected power line from the layout diagram of the PCB. The method further locates attribute data of the searched signal lines and the selected power line in the layout diagram of the PCB, and displays the attribute data of the searched signal lines and the selected power line on a display device of the electronic device.

    摘要: A printed circuit board (PCB) with compound via includes a substrate and a pair of through holes passing through the substrate. The substrate includes a signal layer which is the top layer of the substrate, a first reference layer adjacent to the signal layer, and a second reference layer not adjacent to the signal layer. A first and a second pair of pads are mounted on the signal layer. Each of the through holes extends through the first pair of pads such that the through hole and the first pair of pads jointly form a compound via. A first reserved opening is formed on the first reference layer and corresponds to the first and the second pair of pads and the compound via. A second reserved opening is formed on the second reference layer and surrounds the through hole thereon.

    摘要: A control circuit and control method for a power converter detects change of the output voltage of the converter, and performs the time-optimal control function when the change exceeds the default value. According to the voltage slew rate detected at the time of the change exceeding the default value, a time interval T1 from the change exceeding the default value being detected to the current of the inductor rising to be the same as the output current of the converter is estimated, and the time intervals T2 and T3 are figured out based on the time interval T1. The parasitic resistance of the output capacitor of the converter is taken into account during estimating process such that even if the output capacitor has larger parasitic resistance, the output voltage can be back to the steady state value accurately to avoid the time-optimal control being triggered repeatedly.

    摘要: In a method for inspecting the layout of a printed circuit board (PCB), a component to be checked is determined from an electronic layout diagram of the PCB, and a power transmission line which may be serving that component is selected. The layout diagram is checked to determine whether the component is connected to the power transmission line, and further checked to determine whether more than one ground pins of the component is connected to the power transmission line. Vias that are shared by two or more ground pins of the component are determined if more than one ground pin is connected to the power transmission line. Shared vias are marked on the layout diagram.
