摘要: Provided herein are processes for recovering molybdenum and/or other value metals (e.g., uranium) present in aqueous solutions from a large range of concentrations: from ppm to grams per liter via a solvent extraction process by extracting the molybdenum and/or other value metal from the aqueous solution by contacting it with an organic phase solution containing a phosphinic acid, stripping the molybdenum and/or other value metal from the organic phase solution by contacting it with an aqueous phase strip solution containing an inorganic compound and having a ≦1.0 M concentration of free ammonia, and recovering the molybdenum and/or other value metal by separating it from the aqueous phase strip solution. When the molybdenum and/or other value metal are present only in low concentration, the processes can include an organic phase recycle step and/or an aqueous phase strip recycle step in order to concentrate the metal prior to recover.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to devices, methods and instructions encoded on computer readable media for capturing motion and analyzing the captured motion at a portable computing device. In one exemplary embodiment, a motion capture and analysis application is provided. The application, when executed on a portable computing device, is configured to capture video of a subject (i.e., person) while the subject performs a selected action. The motion capture and analysis application provides various tools that allow an application user (e.g., trainer) to evaluate the motion of the subject during performance of the action.

摘要: A method and system for a fiber compaction device with interdependent segment travel is described. A compaction device structure supports a series of individual interdependent segments including a compaction surface. Each segment also includes an opening in which a presser member can be located. The presser members consist of either an elastomeric bladder filled with an incompressible fluid or individual pistons that are manifolded together with a fixed volume of incompressible fluid. The presser members create an interdependence in segment positions such that if one or more segments are displaced the others move to balance the segment positions. Having a fixed volume of incompressible fluid allows the segments to work interdependently, thus guaranteeing that the average section position will be the nominal position and eliminating the need for a fixed center section. The segments can conform to complexly shaped part surfaces and apply a uniform pressure against the entire surface to better compact material being drawn through the fiber compaction device.

摘要: A process for forming a compatibilized silica and nitrile polymer blend in latex form is described herein. The process can include treating a silica with a coupling agent in aqueous suspension to form a compatibilized silica slurry. The coupling agent can have the capacity of chemically reacting with the surface of the silica to bond the coupling agent thereto. The process can include blending at least a portion of the compatibilized silica slurry into a styrene butadiene polymer latex, forming a silica styrene butadiene polymer latex, and blending at least a portion of the compatibilized silica slurry into an acrylonitrile butadiene polymer latex, forming a silica acrylonitrile butadiene polymer latex. The process can include blending the silica styrene butadiene polymer latex with the silica acrylonitrile butadiene polymer latex, forming the compatibilized silica and nitrile polymer blend.

摘要: A spray cleaning apparatus for cleaning the surface of a caul screen includes at least one cleaning head assembly having a cleaning head in fluid communication with a pressurized fluid source. The cleaning head has an upstream end and at least one outlet nozzle in fluid communication with the upstream end, and which are operable to direct a generally linear high pressure fluid stream onto the surface of the caul screen. The cleaning head assembly is moveably mounted on a support beam so as to be maintained a substantially fixed distance from the caul sheet. A conveyor reciprocally moves part of the sheet beneath the cleaning head assembly, with the cleaning head being indexed in movement along the support to successively reposition cleaning fluid flow relative to the sheet.
