A therapeutic glove specifically adapted to simultaneously apply a combination of acupressure and magnetic therapy to specific acupoint sites on the hand resulting in therapeutic benefits, including providing an effective headache remedy is disclosed. A fingerless glove incorporates an inflatable bladder disposed formed on the palm of the glove for application of acupressure to HT-8 and PC-8 acupoints. A hand-pump is in pneumatic communication with the bladder and functions to allow the user to inflate the bladder to a desired pressure. First and second permanent magnets are disposed on the dorsal portion of the glove and disposed so as to be in covering relation with the TH-3 and LI-4 acupoints. An adjustable dorsal strap is configured to wrap over the first and second permanent magnets as well as the bladder thereby providing a compressive force. Inflation of the bladder results in compression that functions to maximize the benefits of magnetic therapy by biasing the magnets towards the acupressure points from the dorsal side of the hand while providing the ability to control the air pressure using a hand pump.

A magnet is utilized to attract a leading end portion of the guide rod. A plurality of emitters may be disposed in an array around the patient's Adam's apple. Outputs from the emitters are detected by a detector connected with the guide rod and by a detector connected with the tracheal tube. Alternatively, a plurality of detectors may be disposed in an array around the patient's Adam's apple to detect the output from an emitter connected with the guide rod and by an emitter connected with the tracheal tube. Expandable elements may be connected with the guide rod and/or tracheal tube to steer movement along an insertion path.

Magnetotherapeutic joint wraps that are flexible and elastic incorporate superstrong magnets in an attachably detachable manner so as to provide magnetotherapy to joints and surrounding tissues. neoprene or the like may incorporate superstrong magnets such as those based on iron (magnetic ferrite) or neodymium (particularly neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB)) in order to provide superstrong static magnetism by which magnetotherapy may be effected. Elements that are generally oppositely opposed serve to detachably attach portions of the magnetic wrap to one another so that the magnetic joint wrap may conform to the local shape and form of the area adjacent the joint. Such attachment elements may include VELCRO® hook and loop fasteners as well as buttons, snaps, and the like. The superstrong magnets are constructed such that they may be incorporated in flexible and elastic materials such as neoprene. This provides means by which a magnetic wrap may tautly wrap around the joint and adjacent area when attached by the attachment elements.
