摘要： A portlet may be selected from among one or more portlets rendered by an origin server. The origin server may have an object listening for pointer activity wherein a user event triggers selection of a portlet. The origin server, in response, may send state information of the portlet in the form of a key to a client, often operated by a user. Client may later send the key to a disjoint server, wherein the key is integrated into a portal containing services that the client subscribes to. Thus a persistent session may exist between the disjoint server and the origin server based on the user's preferences.

摘要： An artifact update notification system that includes a server computer and client computer is discussed and described. The server computer stores artifact preferences, determined according to objective and subjective criteria, of artifact characteristics. The client computer executes a software development environment that makes use of a software artifact. The server computer and client computer interact to perform an update cycle. The update cycle includes the server computer communicating to the client computer whether there is an actionable change to the software artifact with respect to the artifact preferences. If there has been an actionable change to the software artifact, the client computer performs an update action in the software development environment in response to the actionable change. A related artifact update notification method is also described, as is a computer-readable storage medium that includes instructions for operation of a computer to execute a related artifact update notification method.

Metadata associated with an artifact about project activity of how active an artifact project is to which the artifact belongs, a security risk indicated in the metadata of the artifact, or a license indicated in the metadata of the artifact, is collected from a software repository. A weighting of the artifact alone is determined from the metadata associated with the artifact that indicates desirability of the project activity, the security risk, or the license. The metadata associated with the artifact is compared to appropriateness with a metadata of a user project to which the user belongs as indicated by a profile of the user, so as to provide a score considering the determined weighting of the artifact and a appropriateness of the artifact for the user with respect to an intended use of the artifact by the user.

摘要： A method for electroless plating of metal on a laser-patterned substrate. A substrate is provided on which both a thermal imaging layer and catalytic layer are deposited. On exposure to a laser beam, sufficient levels of radiation are converted to heat in the thermal imaging layer to render the exposed regions of the adjacent catalytic layer inactive. The laser-patterned substrate is then exposed to a reaction solution which initiates the growth of a metal film on the unexposed regions of the catalytic layer.

摘要： A hot-melt ink for use with an ink jet printing apparatus is a liquid at about 100° C. to about 130° C. and solidifies to a two-phase solid having an elastic phase and a crystalline phase. The ink is formulated from a carrier, a first plasticizer, a linear block copolymer, a block copolymer plasticizer, a flow additive and a colorant. The block copolymer plasticizer, in combination with the linear block copolymer forms an elastic phase of the ink upon solidifying. The first plasticizer exhibits sufficiently low viscosity at elevated temperatures to permit ejection of the liquid ink from the printing apparatus. A method for producing indicia is also disclosed.
