摘要： A heat exchanger in which a plurality of tubes are supported in a spaced parallel relationship between two tube sheets. A conduit is provided in a parallel relation to the tubes for supplying a fluid to the tubes, and the arrangement is such that one of the tube sheets is fixed relative to the conduit and the other tube sheet moves relative to the conduit to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction of the tubes. A support unit is provided for supporting the tubes in a spaced parallel relationship while allowing an additional fluid to pass between the tubes in a heat exchange relation to the first fluid. A cooling liquid may be mixed with the first fluid prior to the heat exchange with the additional fluid.

摘要： A heat exchanger in which a substantially vertical partition divides a housing into at least two adjoining chambers each of which support a bed of particulate fuel material. Air is passed through the beds to promote the combustion of the fuel material and to maintain the chambers at predetermined temperatures. The fuel material in one of the chambers is relatively coarse while the fuel material in the other chamber is relatively fine with the chambers communicating to permit circulation of portions of the fuel between the chambers.

摘要： A supercritical forced-flow once-through vapor generator circuitry in which the furnace enclosure consists essentially of three flow passes in a series-flow relationship. The first pass occupies the enclosure front wall, and the second and third passes occupy the enclosure rear wall and intermediate side walls. The invention is particularly useful for coal-fired generators of medium to large capacity wherein the three passes provide sufficient mass flow rates to cool the enclosure while at the same time employing normal sized tubes.

摘要： A sensing device for sensing a characteristic of an erosive fluid stream. The device has a sensing element with a bearing surface which bears against a seat member with an end of the sensing element projecting into a conduit through which the erosive fluid flows. 摘要： A support for reheater and superheater elements of a vapor generator. A plurality of vertically oriented tube panels define a rectangular enclosure in which the elements are contained. Pairs of horizontal tube sections extend across the face of opposite panels of the enclosure sufficiently spaced from the panels to support the elements. These sections are continuations of riser tubes which occupy positions along opposite sides of the panels. Each tube section is bent inwardly from the plane of its panel, at one side of the panel, and then is bent back into the plane of the panel at the opposite side, after traversing the face of the panel. It occupies a position vacated as a result of traverse of the face of the panel by the companion tube section of the tube pair.
