    摘要： A method of using a modular International Organization for Standardization (ISO) filter house for filtering process fluids is provided. The filter house includes a self-contained rectangular cuboid enclosure having the outside dimension of a standard, transportable ISO shipping container. The filter house has apertures for fluid flow inlet and fluid flow outlet, and a filter element for removing impurities from the fluid flow. The method includes creating one standard filter house design to be used in any multiple to meet various flow requirements. The method further includes creating a common fluid connection between the filter houses and process equipment so that the filter houses operate in parallel. A kit of modular components for filtration of a fluid is also provided. The kit includes an external structure of an ISO shipping container, vanes to direct fluid flow, and a filter element. The kit also includes apertures that allow fluid communication between the interior of the shipping container and the exterior of the shipping container.

    摘要： Compounds of formula (IA) or (IB) are inhibitors of IkB kinase (IKK) activity, and are useful in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases: Formula (A) and (B) wherein R7 is hydrogen or optionally substituted (C1-C6)alkyl; ring A is an optionally substituted aryl or heteroaryl ring of 5-13 ring atoms; Z is (a) a radical of formula R1R2CHNH—Y-L1-X1—(CH2)z— wherein: z is 0 or 1; R1 is a carboxylic acid group (—COOH), or an ester group which is hydrolysable by one or more intracellular esterase enzymes to a carboxylic acid group; R2 is the side chain of a natural or non-natural alpha amino acid; Y is a bond, —C(═O)—, —S(═P)2-, —C(═O)O—, —C(═O)NR3-, —C(═S)—NR3, —C(═NH)—NR3 or —S(═O)2NR3— wherein R3 is hydrogen or optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl; L is a divalent linker radical of formula -(Alk1)m(Q)(Alk2)p- wherein m, n, p, Q, AIk1 and AIk2 are as defined in the claims.

    摘要： Disclosed are “acid-amide” calixarenes of formula (I) wherein: L is [—CH2—] or [—O—CH2—O—] and may be the same or different between each aryl group R5 is H, halogen, or C1-C10 aliphatic hydrocarbyl group, C6-C20 aryl group, any of which may optionally be substituted by one or more halo or oxo groups or interrupted by one or more oxo groups, and R5 may be the same or different on each aryl group; R1 comprises an optionally protected carboxy group; two groups out of R2, R3, and R4, are H; the one group out of R2, R3, and R4 not being H comprises an amide group. The amide group may be linked to a second calixarene to form a dimer. Also disclosed are methods of use of such calixarenes for the purposes of metal sequestration, especially of lanthanides and actinides.
