摘要: A method of annealing and descaling hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel strip wherein. The steel strip is descaled in a connected plasma descaling installation after annealing and subsequent cooling. The plasma descaling is carried out under vacuum in a plurality of stages, and the steel strip is subjected to a controlled cooling between these stages and after the final stage by means of cooling rolls so that the steel strip has a temperature below 100° C. when exiting the plasma descaling installation. An apparatus to practice the method is also disclosed.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for straightening a metal strip (1) which is guided in the direction of transportation (R) through a straightening machine (2) and is straightened. In the straightening device (2), the metal strip (1) is impinged upon by a straightening force (F) which is applied by a plurality of straightening rollers (3) in the direction (N) which is perpendicular to the surface of the metal strip (1). According to the invention, prior to the metal strip (1) entering into the straightening machine (2), the thickness (d) of the metal strip (1) is determined and the position (a) of the straightening rollers (3) in the direction (N) which is perpendicular to the surface of the metal strip (1) is taken into account according to the determined thickness (d).

摘要: The invention relates to a method for hot-dip coating a metal strip (1), particularly a steel strip, in which the metal strip (1) is fed to a receptacle (5) accommodating the melted coating metal (4) through a hole (6) in the bottom area of the receptacle (5) after passing through a furnace (2) and a roll chamber (3) that adjoins the furnace (2) in the direction of travel (F) of the metal strip (1). An electromagnetic field is generated in the bottom area of the receptacle (5) so as to retain the coating metal (4) in the receptacle (5). In order to obtain more advantageous operating conditions especially in case the performance of the hot-dip coating system drops, different gas atmospheres are maintained in at least two separate spaces (7, 8) of the roll chamber (3). The invention further relates to a hot-dip coating device.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for hot dip coating a metal bar (1), especially a steel strip, in which the metal bar (1) is directed vertically through a container (3) accommodating the molten coating metal (2) and through a guide channel (4) mounted upstream thereof. The inventive device comprises at least two inductors (5) which are arranged on both sides of the metal bar (1) in the area of the guide channel (4) and generate an electromagnetic field for retaining the coating metal (2) inside the container (3). In order to relax the coating bath, the distance (d) between the walls (6) that delimit the guide channel (4) is not kept constant in a direction (N) extending perpendicular to the surface of the metal strip (1) in the zone (H) of the vertical extension of the guide channel (4), which is located between the bottom side (7) thereof and the bottom area (8) of the container (3).

摘要: A method and an apparatus for an anticipatory thickness control in foil rolling by using characteristic lines stored in a process control computer of the individual manipulated variables (for example, strip tensions, rolling speeds) for various operating points (conditions of operation) or by using an on-line operating physical computing model, also in combination with a monitor control. The method includes the steps of determining the thickness deviations of the foil at the entry side of the roll stand and of compensating the thickness deviations by an anticipatory thickness control. The apparatus includes a thickness measuring device between the running-off reel and the rolling mill or the roll gap of the roll stand. The thickness measuring device is connected to a superordinated process control computer. Following the thickness measuring device is arranged a tensioning unit which serves to change the travel path of the foil strip between the running-off reel and the roll gap. For example, the tensioning unit elongates the travel path.

摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for the metering of liquid media, especially varnish, of differing viscosity in an offset printing machine. Exchangeable metering subassemblies are assigned to a form cylinder. The first metering subassembly provided for processing low-viscosity media consists of a reservoir, a dipping roller, a metering roller and the form cylinder. The second metering subassembly for processing higher-viscosity media consists of a chamber doctor, a screened applicator roller and the form cylinder. In a further version, both metering subassemblies are assigned permanently to the form cylinder. Depending on the media to be processed, the necessary subassemblies are engaged with the form cylinder and the other subassembly is disengaged from the form cylinder.

摘要: In order to improve mechanical positive synchronization in a sheet-fed printing machine between gripper carriages guided in wave-like fashion through printing units on endless chains and the associated impression cylinder, the impression cylinders (1) have twice the diameter of the plate and blanket cylinders (2, 3). Sprocket wheels (34), also of twice the diameter of the blanket cylinders, are fixed on the ends of the double-size impression cylinders (1) and on them there are disposed two diametrically opposite gripper carriage locating and fixing devices (24-32) which are adjustable both radially and tangentially and which can also be used to bring the different printing plates into register with one another on the printed sheet (38).

摘要: To permit accurate control of ink being transferred by an ink transfer roller from an ink source (6; 15, 16, 17) to an ink accepting roller (1, 10), the transfer roller (2, 11) has a surface layer (3, 12) which is made of compressible material, the surface layer being formed with shallow cup-like depression in a grid or similar raster pattern. Upon compression and deformation of the depth of the shallow cup-like depressions, the cup-like depressions will change their volume and thus change the quantity of ink being transferred. This also permits direct inking of a forme cylinder (1) by a chamber ink supply arrangement (6) since the hard surface of the forme cylinder will be engaged by the resilient or compressible surface layer (3, 12) of the transfer roller.
