A pump (44) pumps lubricant from the reservoir through a filter (48) and into a distribution manifold (50) for filtered lubrication of the bearings (20) and/or other transmission elements.

    Abstract: A radar system for determining not only the azimuth and range of a target but also the target height over a predetermined range of elevation angles has separate receiving and signal processing channels coupled to a dual beam antenna for processing signals returned from a single target. The output of each signal processor is coupled to a height processor which divides the sum of the received signals into the difference of the two signals. The resulting ratio is used to access a look-up table to identify the elevation angle associated with the ratio from which the height of the target is calculated. The look-up table includes correction values to compensate for the antenna pattern nonlinearity.

    Abstract: A moving target detector (MTD) in a radar system uses corrected weighting coefficients to compensate for pulse stagger effect on transmitted pulses. Transmitted pulses are sampled when the radar is switched to a test mode for determining a correction factor which is used to calculate the corrected weighting coefficients. The radar return signals are processed in the MTD by a finite impulse response (FIR) filter using the stored corrected weighting coefficients calculated for each sequence of transmitted pulses including block stagger and pulse stagger sequences.

    Abstract: A signal receiver employing constant false alarm rate (CFAR) circuitry is disclosed. The CFAR circuitry includes a dispersive delay line for stretching received echo signals, means for limiting the stretched echo signals and an inverse dispersive delay line for finally processing the stretched and limited echo signals.     Abstract: An improved drive system includes a pair of hydrostatic transmissions which are driven by a common engine or prime mover and are drivingly connected with different tracks of a vehicle. The input to output speed ratios of the hydrostatic transmissions are simultaneously varied by operating a single speed control valve to port control fluid pressure to pressure responsive secondary or control motors in pump and motor actuators of the hydrostatic transmissions. A pair of charge pumps are provided to charge the hydrostatic transmissions and provide control fluid. If the fluid pressure output of either of the charge pumps falls below a predetermined level, a control arrangement reduces the control fluid pressure transmitted to the pump and motor actuators by the speed control valve to deswash or destroke both of the transmissions. The control arrangement also short circuits the hydrostatic loops interconnecting the pump and motor units. In addition, the brakes of the vehicle are engaged to stop the vehicle. When the vehicle is to be stopped during normal operation, actuation of the brakes causes the control arrangement to effect a deswashing of the pump and motor units and a short circuiting of the hydrostatic loops.
