    摘要: In a method of transforming light, an optical film for performing the method and a display device having the optical film, an optical film includes an anisotropic film, an isotropic film, a λ/4 phase difference film and a λ/2 phase difference film. The anisotropic film having a first refractive index with respect to a first ray and a second refractive index with respect to a second ray. A refractive index of the isotropic film is substantially identical to the first refractive index. The λ/4 phase difference film delays wavelengths of the first and second rays by about λ/4. The λ/2 phase difference film delays the wavelength of the second ray by about λ/2.

    摘要: A manufacturing method for an array substrate, comprising forming a gate metal on a base substrate, patterning the gate metal to form a gate part having a gate electrode, a gate line and a gate pad. Then, a gate insulating layer, an active layer and a data metal are sequentially formed on the base substrate to cover the gate part. The data metal is patterned to form a data part having a data electrode, a data pad and a pixel electrode. Then, the exposed portion of the active layer is removed, and the exposed portion of the gate insulation layer is removed. When the data electrode is divided into a source electrode and a drain electrode, a switching device is completed.

    摘要: A substrate for a display device includes an insulating substrate, a data line, an insulating layer and a pixel electrode. The insulating substrate has a switching element. The data line is formed on the insulating substrate to be electrically connected to a first electrode of the switching element. The insulating layer is formed on the insulating substrate having the switching element and the data line. The insulating layer has a contact hole through which a second electrode of the switching element is partially exposed and a groove adjacent to the data line. The pixel electrode is formed on the insulating layer to be electrically connected to the second electrode through the contact hole. Therefore, an image display quality may be improved, and a manufacturing cost of the LCD device may be reduced.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a thin film transistor array panel, a liquid crystal display, and a manufacturing method of the same. A TFT array for a LCD or an EL display is used as a circuit board for driving the respective pixels in an independent manner. The present invention provides pixel electrodes and contact assistants, which connect expansions of gate lines and data lines to an external circuit, having a structure of double layers including IZO layer and ITO layer. The ITO layer is disposed on the IZO layer. In the present invention, the pixel electrodes are formed to have double layers of IZO layer and ITO layer to avoid wires from getting damage by the ITO etchant and to prevent prove pins from having accumulation of foreign body during the gross test. In the present invention, the contact assistants may only be formed to have double layers of IZO layer and ITO layer to prevent prove pins from having accumulation of foreign body during the gross test. Since the consumption of ITO is reduced, manufacturing cost decreases.

Thus, the liquid crystal display may have reduced thickness and weight and enhanced brightness, thereby improving the display characteristics of the display.
