Provided herein are electronic devices including arrays of printable light emitting diodes (LEDs) having device geometries and dimensions providing enhanced thermal management and control relative to conventional LED-based lighting systems. The systems and methods described provide large area, transparent, and/or flexible LED arrays useful for a range of applications in microelectronics, including display and lightning technology. Methods are also provided for assembling and using electronic devices including thermally managed arrays of printable light emitting diodes (LEDs).

The present invention relates to a process for removing acetylenes from olefins by using an ionic liquid-based solution, and particularly to a process for removing a small amount of acetylenes contained in olefins by using an ionic liquid-based solution where copper halide (CuX, X=halogen atom) is dissolved. In an ionic liquid-based solution used in the present invention, copper halide (CuX) is stabilized by ionic liquid, thus preventing monovalent copper ion (Cu+) from being oxidized into divalent copper ion (Cu2+), maintaining the superior activity of monovalent copper ion (Cu+) in removing acetylene for a long period of time, and remarkably increasing the selective removal of acetylene-based compounds. Moreover, an ionic liquid-based solution used in the present invention may serve as an extracting solution as well as an absorbent, thereby facilitating the operation and reducing equipment cost in comparison to the conventional extracting agent used in a slurry phase.

The present invention provides a novel piperazinium trifluoroacetate compound prepared by reacting piperazine with trifluoroacetic acid and a carbon dioxide absorbent prepared by dissolving the compound in an ionic liquid or organic solvent. According to the present invention, the carbon dioxide absorbent has excellent carbon dioxide absorption capacity and low solvent loss, and the energy consumption required for the carbon dioxide absorption and desorption is significantly reduced.

Disclosed are a pyrrolidinium type sulphonated zwitterion, a method of preparing the same, a lithium salt prepared by using the same, a method of preparing the salt, an electrolytic composition containing the salt and a lithium secondary battery including the electrolytic composition. Since the pyrrolidinium type sulphonated zwitterions prepared according to the invention are thermally and electrochemically stable, the lithium salt prepared by using the same exhibits a lower hygroscopicity than the conventional lithium salts and strong thermal and electrochemical stabilities. When the lithium salt of the invention is dissolved in an organic solvent independently or together with the ionic liquid, excellent conductivity and electrochemical stability are exhibited. Accordingly, the lithium salt of the invention is very suitable for the electrolyte of the lithium secondary battery.
