A power saving method and a power saving system are applied in an optical disk drive. The power saving system comprises a power controlling unit for differentiating the specific sets of circuits not being used at a specific operation rate and powering them down. The sets of circuits not being used will be powered up while the associated operation rate at which they are required to operate is nearly started.

A method in a radio network node for ranking cells within a group of cells in a cellular network is provided. The radio network node is serving a first cell, in the group of cells. The radio network node receives (201) power level measurements from one or more user equipments. The power level measurements respectively indicate a power level in at least one cell of the group of cells where the respective one or more user equipments is active. The radio network node then ranks (202) importance of the cells in the group of cells, both based on the power level measurements, and on the number, for each cell out of the group of cells, of user equipments whose power level measurements indicate that the respective cell has the highest power level.
Abstract:
The present application provides novel aminoindane compounds and methods for preparing and using these compounds. These compounds are useful in treating pain and/or itch in patients by administering one or more of the compounds to a patient. The methods include administering a compound of formula (I) or (II) and a TRPV1 receptor activator. In one embodiment, the TRPV1 receptor activator is lidocaine.
Abstract:
An improved synthesis of a class of inhibitor of Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) is provided, wherein use of an expensive palladium-based catalyst is reduced and reaction yields and product purities are improved. Two key reactions of coupling of aryl halides with anilines are optimized with the surprising discovery that the palladium-based catalyst can be dispensed with entirely in one of the reactions. The invention also provides the use of the FAK-inhibitory compounds in the treatment of inflammatory and immune disorders and of arthritis.

A system and method are provided for reducing signal skew. The method includes receiving a netlist having components and connections among the components. Each connection has at least one signal wire. A plurality of net groups is identified, each net group including at least some of the connections and for which equivalent routing is desired. For each net group, the method includes systematically routing connection paths between the components for the connections, each connection path extending between an output of one of the components and an input to at least one other of the components and including at least one path fragment. Routing includes, for at least one of the connections of the net group, routing at least one grounded shielding wire in a routing channel adjacent and parallel to at least one of the path fragments of the connection path.

A multidimensional display apparatus includes a main display screen divided into at least three display areas including a first centre display area and at least two surrounded display areas, at least two reflective elements, and at least three display surfaces. The reflective elements are arranged above and inclined with respect to the second display areas, and a reflection surface of each of the reflective elements faces the corresponding second display area. One of the display surfaces is above the first display area, and the other two are corresponding to the second display areas, facing the reflection surfaces of the reflective elements. The contents displayed on the first display area is viewable on the display surface above, and the contents displayed on the second display areas are reflected by the corresponding reflection surfaces of the reflective elements and viewable on the other two display surfaces.

A power switch circuit providing voltage to an output port is provided. The switch circuit includes a single power supply, a switch unit, a controlling unit, and a logic unit. The switch unit is connected between the single power supply and an output port and capable of being turned on and off alternatively for continuing or discontinuing power from the single power supply to the output port; the single power supply provides power to the output port. The controlling unit is configured for generating a voltage controlling signal and transmitting the voltage controlling signal to the logic unit. The logic unit receives and inverts the voltage controlling signal, and outputs the inverted voltage controlling signal to turn on or turn off the switch unit.

A system for reducing the signal delay skew is disclosed, according to a variety of embodiments. One illustrative embodiment of the present disclosure is directed to a method. According to one illustrative embodiment, the method includes receiving an initial netlist comprising components and connection paths among the components. The method further includes identifying one or more skew-influencing features in a first connection path in the initial netlist that lack corresponding skew-influencing features in a second connection path in the initial netlist. The method also includes generating a skew-corrected netlist wherein the second connection path includes one or more added skew-influencing features corresponding to those of the first connection path. The method further includes outputting the skew-corrected netlist.

A fabricating method for an earphone includes the steps of: providing a front case and a speaker, the front case having a plurality of securing holes and a accommodating space, the speaker being disposed in the accommodating space; electrically connecting an earphone wire to the speaker; providing a rear case and securing the rear case onto the front case by making use of a plurality of fasteners penetrating through the rear case and fitted into the securing holes of the front case, and thereby the speaker is fixed in the accommodating space by the stop effect of the rear case; and buckling a protecting cover on the rear case to cover the fasteners. The fabricating method can make the produced earphone to be more reliable and thus can effectively avoid from being disassembled caused by an external force or unexpected falling, and therefore the internal components thereof can be effectively protected from damage.

A method for controlling a position of a laser spot of a laser beam on an optical storage medium of a land and groove recording/reproduction type is provided. The method includes: detecting a pulse occurring in a reference signal while the laser spot is passing through a boundary between a groove track and a land track, wherein the reference signal is generated according to a reflected laser beam from the optical storage medium; determining a compensation value of the reference signal according to the pulse; utilizing the compensation value to adjust the reference signal for generating an adjusted reference signal; and utilizing the adjusted reference signal to control the position of the laser spot.
