Abstract:
A fail-safe air flap control apparatus for a vehicle includes a coolant temperature sensor, a control unit, an actuator, a movable unit, a flap unit, an elastic member and a solenoid unit. The coolant temperature sensor measures the temperature of a coolant. The control unit compares a value measured by the sensor to a reference value and generates a corresponding control signal. The actuator has a rotator which rotates in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction depending on the control signal. The movable unit linearly moves under rotational force of the rotator. The flap unit includes a flap housing having an air flow slot, a flap door mounted to the flap housing to openably close the air flow slot, and a connecting rod connected to the movable unit. The elastic member applies elastic force to the movable unit in a direction in which the flap door opens. The solenoid unit is controlled by the control signal of the control unit so as to either restrain movement of the movable unit and so maintain the flap door in a closed state or to release the movable unit.
Abstract:
A flap control apparatus of a vehicle and a control method thereof are disclosed. The flap control apparatus can control flaps, disposed at the front side of the vehicle to adjust inflow of air into a radiator, and can perform a fail-safe operation by releasing a corresponding flap from a locked state so that the corresponding flap can be opened by drive wind pressure upon occurrence of a malfunction making the flaps substantially non-operative, thereby preventing the engine from overheating.

A semiconductor test system and method for the same. A handler is capable of moving and classifying semiconductor packages, a logic tester is capable of receiving a semiconductor package from the handler, and for testing a logic component of the semiconductor package. An analog tester may be coupled to the logic tester, where the analog tester is capable of testing an analog component of the semiconductor package. An interface unit may be included for selectively outputting a logic signal to enable the analog tester.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a chitosancontaining salt having the function of lowering blood pressure. The method comprises the steps of: (a) dissolving an acid-soluble chitosan in organic acid, or dissolving a water-soluble chitosan derivative in water, to prepare a chitosan solution; (b) spraying the chitosan solution on salt particles to bind the chitosan to the salt particles; and (c) drying the chitosan-bound salt particles. According to the present invention, the chitosan or its derivative is bound to the salt particles by spraying or mixing such that the chitosan-containing salt can be produced without performing a recrystallizing step. Thus, the production cost of the chitosan-containing salt can be significantly decreased.

Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a plasma display panel, which includes forming a lower dielectric layer on a lower substrate, disposing a mesh over the substrate on which the lower dielectric layer is formed, dispersing a glass powder through the mesh, forming a barrier rib-forming layer by applying a certain amount of heat and pressure to the dispersed glass powder, and forming barrier ribs by selectively removing the barrier rib-forming layer.
Abstract:
A continuous casting method, and a device for use in the casting method, are disclosed. The flow state of the discharged molten metal is properly controlled, and thus, the amounts of residual non-metallic inclusions and gas bubbles within the molten metal are decreased, so that continuously cast slabs of a good quality can be produced. The continuous casting device includes a mould with a submerged nozzle installed therein, the submerged nozzle having a pair of discharge holes directed toward narrow faces of the mould. Further, an electromagnetic brake ruler is included for establishing a magnetic field within the mould. The electromagnetic brake ruler includes a base frame surrounding the mould, and iron cores projecting from near the wide faces of the mould, while the iron cores are wound with induction coils. It further includes a pair of electromagnetic transferring parts connected to the iron cores, and disposed immediately above the discharge holes of the submerged nozzle toward narrow faces of the mould and in parallel with a discharge direction of the molten metal. With the magnetic field applied within the mould, the separation capability for the non-metallic inclusions and gas bubbles is increased so as to greatly reduce the internal defects of the cast products.
