摘要： An electronic device having a touch screen and an operation control method thereof are provided. The electronic includes a touch screen which receives a plurality of manipulations; and a controller which determines whether a second manipulation is made on a screen displayed on the touch screen during a predetermined time period after a first manipulation is made on the screen, and controls to perform an operation corresponding to the second manipulation instead of an operation corresponding to the first manipulation to be performed, if the second manipulation is made during the predetermined time after the first manipulation is made.

摘要： A data processing method, an equalizer, and a receiver in a wireless communication system including a relay station are provided. The data processing method includes: receiving a base station signal from a base station; receiving a relay station signal from a relay station; determining a propagation delay between the base station signal and the relay station signal; generating an equalizing signal in which interference generated between the base station signal and the relay station signal is alleviated in consideration of the propagation delay; and recovering information bits transmitted by the base station from the equalizing signal. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to alleviate performance deterioration due to an interference problem generated in a relay system.

摘要： An electronic programming guide (EPG) providing apparatus and method, in which an EPG is configured as a 3D form to facilitate a search for broadcasting program information included in the EPG. The EPG providing apparatus includes an EPG screen configuring unit and a control unit. The EPG screen configuring unit configures an EPG screen such that broadcasting program information is displayed on at least three faces of a 3D polyhedron. The control unit controls the EPG screen configuring unit to configure the EPG screen such that broadcasting program information corresponding to another broadcasting time zone or another broadcasting channel is displayed on the EPG screen based on a user input signal requesting a search for the broadcasting program information corresponding to another broadcasting time zone or another broadcasting channel.

摘要： Provided are a method and apparatus for receiving remote control key data in a home network and requesting a server to perform an operation corresponding to the remote control key data. The method includes converting the remote control key data to a code which can be referred to in a web document received from the server, determining an operation corresponding to the code by referring to the web document, and requesting the server to perform the determined operation. Accordingly, even when an item corresponding to a function supported by the server is not displayed on a menu screen, a user receiving a service from the server using a client device in the home network can use the function by instinctively pressing a remote control key corresponding to the function.

摘要： Disclosed is a signal detection method for a receiver of a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) communication system having nT and nR (where nR is greater than or equal to nT) transmission and reception antennas, respectively, and an nT×nR channel matrix. The signal detection method includes selecting a plurality of sub-channel matrices having smaller dimensions than the nT×nR channel matrix, estimating transmission symbols received from corresponding transmission antennas using a maximum likelihood decoding method with respect to a received signal corresponding to each of the sub-channel matrices, estimating transmission symbols received from the remaining transmission antenna(s) using the estimated transmission symbols, temporarily storing a candidate symbol set composed of the estimated transmission symbols, and comparing candidate symbol sets corresponding to all the sub-channel matrices and determining the smallest candidate symbol set as a transmission symbol set.
