    摘要: A system for extending range of target engagement is provided. The system comprises a long firearm with a day optic sight attached and a clip-on thermal sight installed forward of the day optic sight. The clip-on thermal sight receives rotation of 90 degrees lengthwise along the firearm, display orientation of view finder changed from horizontal to vertical, and improves, based at least on the rotation and changed orientation, the aspect ratio is favorably altered to increase number of vertical mils available for target engagement. The range and situational awareness are both simultaneously enhanced while maintaining the number of pixels on the target by increasing the sensor resolution.

The system comprises a manually activated remote-control device mounted to a side area of a firearm rail that when activated receives at least a first manual entry into a keypad of the remote-control device. The system also transmits instructions associated with the entry to an optical device attached to the firearm, the instructions causing the optical device to display at least one configuration optic. The system also receives at least a second manual entry into the keypad, instructions generated by the entry causing selection of the least one configuration optic, the selection thereafter executed by the optical device. The device mounts to a right side of the rail for left-handed users and to a left side of the rail for right-handed users. The device communicates wirelessly and/or via wired connection with the optical device.

A device dynamically adjusts the CPU clock frequency based on CPU load in order to reduce power consumption. The device monitors the load of the CPU using a number of sample interrupts. The device determines whether to adjust the clock frequency based on the monitored load of the CPU. In general, the device increases the clock frequency when the load of the CPU is high and decreases the clock frequency when the load of the CPU is low.
