摘要:
Provided herein is a negative active material including an ordered porous manganese oxide, wherein pores of the ordered porous manganese oxide have a bimodal size distribution. Provided herein is a method of preparing a negative active material that includes the ordered porous manganese oxide. The invention also includes a negative electrode which includes the negative active material and a lithium battery which includes the negative electrode.

An electrode active material, an electrode including the electrode active material, a lithium battery including the electrode, and a method of preparing the electrode active material. The electrode active material includes a core having at least one of a metal or a metal oxide that enables intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions and a crystalline carbon thin film that is formed on at least a portion of a surface of the core. The electrode active material has a nano-structure.

A hierarchical mesoporous carbon is provided in which a total volume of mesopores of the hierarchical mesoporous carbon is 80% or greater of a total volume of pores of the hierarchical mesoporous carbon; a volume of mesopores with a average diameter greater than 20 nm and no greater than 50 nm is 3% or greater of the total volume of the pores; and a volume of mesopores with a average diameter greater than 2 nm and no greater than 10 nm is 65% or greater of the total volume of the pores. The hierarchical mesoporous carbon, which also contains macropores, has an optimized mesoporous distribution characteristic, and has an increased total volume of pores, thereby having a significantly improved catalytic activity when used as a catalyst support. When such a supported catalyst is used in a fuel cell, supply of fuel and transporting of byproducts are facilitated.

Disclosed herein are a refrigerator door having an improved configuration to prevent damage to a printed layer of a door front panel and a refrigerator having the same. The refrigerator includes a door to open and close a storage compartment. The door includes a front panel on a rear surface of which a printed layer is formed, a door sash coupled to the front panel and having at least one opening, and a foamed material charged in a space defined by the front panel and the door sash. The front panel includes a release layer formed on a surface of the printed layer to correspond to the contour of the at least one opening.

Provided are a CNT-mesoporous silica composite, a CNT-mesoporous carbon composite, a supported catalyst using the CNT-mesoporous carbon composite as a support, and a fuel cell using the supported catalyst as the anode, cathode, or both anode and cathode. The CNT-mesoporous carbon composite is prepared using the CNT-mesoporous silica composite. The CNT-mesoporous carbon composite has a high electrical conductivity due to the CNTs contained therein, and thus, when the CNT-mesoporous carbon composite is used in an electrode of a fuel cell, the fuel cell has a remarkably improved performance relative to the conventional catalyst support which does not contain CNTs.

An image surveillance system and a method of detecting whether an object is left behind or taken away are provided. The image surveillance system includes: a foreground detecting unit which detects a foreground region based on a pixel information difference between a background image and a current input image; a still region detecting unit which detects a candidate still region by clustering foreground pixels of the foreground region, and determines whether the candidate still region is a falsely detected still region or a true still region; and an object detecting unit which determines whether an object is left behind or taken away, based on edge information about the true still region.
