A method and apparatus of detecting a radio link failure in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobile station initializes a radio link failure (RLF) counter for detecting the radio link failure and determines whether decoding of a message on a downlink channel is successful. The mobile station decrements a value of the RLF counter if the decoding fails, and increments the value of the RLF counter if the decoding is successful, and declaring the radio link failure if the value of the RLF counter is less than or equal to a specific value. A decrement size of the value of the RLF counter varies according to a received signal strength of the downlink channel.

The present invention relates to (3-fluoro-2-hydroxy)propyl-functionalized aryl derivatives or to the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a method for preparing same, and to a pharmaceutical composition containing same as active ingredients for the diagnosis or treatment of neurodegenerative brain diseases. The aryl derivatives of the present invention are (3-fluoro-2-hydroxy)propyl-functionalized to increase the polarity thereof, and therefore the drugs containing the aryl derivatives can easily permeate into the cerebrovascular membrane, thus increasing the effectiveness of the drugs. As the aryl derivatives of the present invention strongly bind to β-amyloid, the aryl derivatives, when labeled with radioisotope, can be used as a diagnostic agent for non-invasively diagnosing early Alzheimer's disease. Further, the aryl derivatives of the present invention bind to low molecular β-amyloid peptide conjugates to inhibit the generation of malignant high molecular β-amyloid plaque, and thus can be effectively used as a therapeutic agent for neurodegenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.

A method and apparatus for verifying a release of a local IP access (LIPA) packet data network (PDN) connection in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobility management entity (MME) receives a handover preparation message from a source home eNodeB (HeNB), verifying whether the LIPA PDN connection has been released or not on receiving the handover preparation message. If the LIPA PDN connection has been released already, the MME performs a normal handover procedure. If the LIPA PDN connection has not been released, the MME transmits a handover preparation failure message to the source HeNB.
