摘要: A process for the preparation of .alpha.-hydroxyketones of the general formula I ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 denote hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl orR.sub.1 and R.sup.3 together form a C.sub.2 -C.sub.10 alkylene chain optionally mono- to tri-substituted by methyl and/or ethyl andR.sup.5 denotes hydrogen, methyl or ethyl,from 2,3-epoxyalcohols of the general formula II ##STR2## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 have the above meanings, at temperatures of from -10.degree. to 120.degree. C. and pressures of from 0.01 to 20 bar in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the catalyst used is a hydridocobalt compound, and the preparation of 2,3-epoxyalcohols II from 3-hydroperoxy alkenes III and their preparation from alkenes IV using oxygen or gas mixtures containing oxygen.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for oxidizing at least one organic substance with oxygen, which comprises the following steps: (a) adding the at least one organic substance as a liquid and an oxygenous gas stream to a first reaction stage to form a reaction mixture, at least some of the oxygen reacting with the organic compound to form a reaction product, (b) adding the reaction mixture from the first reaction stage to an adiabatically operated reaction stage in which the unconverted organic substance reacts further at least partly to give the product. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the process.

摘要: Arycolaldehyde, glyceraldehyde, C.sub.4 - and C.sub.5 -sugars or mixtures thereof are prepared in a self-condensation of formaldehyde by reacting formaldehyde or a formaldehyde donor in the presence of a mesoionic catalyst of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is nitrogen or CR.sup.3, Y is sulfur or selenium or NR.sup.4, and R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 can be identical or different and each can represent an aliphatic, aryl, aralkyl or heteroaryl group which is unsubstituted or which bears substituents which have only a negligible effect on the catalytic activity of said mesoionic catalyst, with the proviso that R.sup.2 together with R.sup.4 can form a C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 -alkylene or alkenylene bridge or a C.sub.6 -C.sub.14 -arylene bridge, and wherein R.sup.5 is hydrogen, the hydroxymethyl group -CH.sub.2 OH or the hydroxymethylhydroxymethyl group --CH(OH)(CH.sub.2 OH).

摘要: The invention relates to a process for the oxidation of organic compounds by means of oxygen, in which, in a first step, the organic compound and at least part of the oxygen required for the oxidation are introduced into a first reaction zone which is operated isothermally and with backmixing and, in a second step, the reaction mixture from the first reaction zone is introduced into a second reaction zone which is operated adiabatically. The invention further relates to a reactor for carrying out the process, which comprises at least one isothermal reaction zone (3, 5) and an adiabatic reaction zone (7) which are arranged in a reactor shell (8), with each isothermal reaction zone (3, 5) being configured in the form of a jet loop reactor and the adiabatic reaction zone (7) being configured as a bubble column.
