Abstract:
An adjustable demolition leverage tool capable of removable and adjustable connection to various rotationally and positionably adjustable tool heads being specifically shaped to achieve various demolition tasks. The tool heads are configured so the distance between the two side edges of a tool head may be extended or reduced and the angle of the leading edge of the tool head with respect to the handle of the leverage tool may also be adjusted.
Abstract:
A thermo-electric cooling (TEC) system is presented for cooling of a device, such a laser for example. The TECT system comprises first and second heat pumping assemblies, and a control unit associated at least with said second heat pumping assembly. Each heat pumping assembly has a heat source from which heat is pumped and a heat drain through which pumped heat is dissipated. The at least first and second heat pumping assemblies are arranged in a cascade relationship having at least one thermal interface between the heat source of the second heat pumping assembly and the heat drain of the first heat pumping assembly, the heat source of the first heat pumping assembly being thermally coupled to the electronic device which is to be cooled by evacuating heat therefrom. The control unit is configured and operable to carry out at least one of the following: (i) operating said second heat pumping assembly to provide a desired temperature condition such that temperature of the heat drain of said first heat pumping assembly is either desirably low or by a certain value lower than temperature of the heat source of said first heat pumping assembly; and (ii) operating said second heat pumping assembly to maintain predetermined temperature of said thermal interface.
Abstract:
The present invention includes compositions and methods for identifying T-cell epitopes independent of the subject's HLS type by simultaneously analyzing the culture for multiple parameters of immune reactivity to identify at least one epitope wherein the epitopes that elicit immune reactivity of interest in the subset are identified as targeting agents for the subset.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a system and a method to unload bulk powders from large bulk containers. The system and method are particularly useful for unloading bulk cohesive powders.
Abstract:
A system is disclosed according to the present invention that manages the process of providing a client access to a secured service. In the exemplary embodiment, the secured service is a computer system that allows the client to trade financial instruments. Management of this process includes managing execution of tasks that can be automatically executed and delegating tasks that require manual execution; communicating with entities outside of the process management system; and handling “demands,” or unexpected problems that arise in the middle of the client connectivity process.
Abstract:
Integrated packages incorporating multilayer ceramic circuit boards mounted on a metal support substrate can be used for temperature control by the metal support substrate. Various electronic components, as well as additional temperature control devices, can be connected to the circuit boards and to the metal support substrate to control or regulate the temperature of operation of the components. The integrated package can be hermetically sealed with a lid.
Abstract:
A vehicle intruder detection system including at least one pressure operated switch which comprises a first, movable, conductive strip contact and a second, fixed, conductive strip contact. The second contact is attached to a fixed surface located within a vehicle interior so that the first contact is located in proximity, but not fixedly attached, to an internal face of a vehicle window. Each switch is connected into a circuit which incorporates an alarm, which is then triggered by application of a force to the external surface of a window sufficient to bring the first and second contacts together to close one of the switches.

Abstract:
A leak prevention device and method of use to prevent leakage and sinkage of ships that have collided with immobile objects comprising at least two inflatable cylindrical bodies that have cables attached to each of its ends. The cylinders are lowered over one side of a ship or delivered by rescue vessels and then manipulated by the cables or guide wires, one past the stern of the ship and the other past the bow of the ship so that the lines are on the opposite side of the ship, so that guide-wires pass under the hull of the ship and surround the object of the collision fully on one side. The process is repeated on the opposite side of the ship so that the two cylindrical structures crisscross. The cables are then tensioned and inflated with compressed air forming a tight seal between the hull and the point of collision.
