摘要: The present invention is directed to a novel process for the preparation of the compound N-[1(R)-[(1,2-dihydro-1-methanesulfonyl-spiro[3H-indole-3,4'-piperdin]-1'-yl)carbonyl]-2-(phenylmethyl-oxy)ethyl]-2-amino-2-methyl-propanamide, and salts thereof, which has the structure: ##STR1## and which has the ability to stimulate the release of natural or endogenous growth hormone. This compound may be used to treat conditions which require the stimulation of growth hormone production or secretion such as in humans with a deficiency of natural growth hormone or in animals used for food or wool production where the stimulation of growth hormone will result in a larger, more productive animal.

摘要: Under one aspect, a method of making a superconductor wire includes providing an oxide superconductor layer overlaying a substrate; forming a substantially continuous barrier layer over the oxide superconductor layer, the barrier layer including metal; depositing a layer of metal particles over the barrier layer, said depositing including applying a liquid including metal particles over the barrier layer; and sintering the layer of metal particles to form a substantially continuous metal layer over the barrier layer. In one or more embodiments, the oxide superconductor layer is oxygen-deficient, and the method may include oxidizing the oxygen-deficient oxide superconductor layer. At least a portion of the sintering and the oxidizing may occur simultaneously, for example by performing them at an oxygen partial pressure and a temperature sufficient to both sinter the metal particles and to oxidize the oxygen-deficient oxide superconductor layer.

摘要: An apparatus and method which provide increased data flow through a compute platform by optimizing data flow between an external device and the internal circuitry without the need for user intervention. A port router is provided which includes a controller switch, a port switch, and one or more connections between the controller switch and the port switch. The controller switch, the port switch and the one or more connections are adapted to provide dynamic re-routing of connections between the port switch inputs and the controller switch outputs. A method is also provided for dynamically routing ports to internal circuitry of a compute platform. The method includes providing a configurable switching circuit, querying the configurable switching circuit to determine a default topology, computing an optimized topology upon the occurrence of a change of the data flow through the configurable switching circuit, suspending operation and effecting re-routing between the interface ports and the internal circuitry based on the optimized topology, and resuming IO operations through the configurable switching circuit. The method and apparatus may be applied to personal computer systems, information appliances, set-top boxes, cable modems, game consoles, smart appliances, handheld computers, palm-sized computers, embedded control systems, workstations, servers and the like.
