摘要: A coated article includes a low-E coating having an absorbing layer located over a functional layer (IR reflecting layer) and designed to cause the coating to have an increased outside reflectance (e.g., in an IG window unit) and good selectivity. In certain embodiments, the absorbing layer is metallic, or substantially metallic, and is provided directly over and contacting a lower of two IR reflecting layers. In certain example embodiments, a nitride based layer (e.g., silicon nitride or the like) may be located directly over and contacting the absorbing layer in order to reduce or prevent oxidation thereof during heat treatment (e.g., thermal tempering, heat bending, and/or heat strengthening) thereby permitting predictable coloration, high outside reflectance values, and/or good selectivity to be achieved.

摘要: Certain example embodiments relate to sputter-deposited transparent conductive coatings (TCCs) for use in, for example, refrigeration and/or freezer units (e.g., as doors, windows, etc.). The TCC may include a silver-based conductive layer, at least partially protected by a zirconium oxide overcoat. Such TCCs may be provided in connection with monolithic or multi-substrate arrangements in different example embodiments. Certain example embodiments may involve “active” modes, where a silver-based layer in the TCC may receive a voltage, e.g., to reduce the likelihood of frosting, freezing, fogging, condensation, and/or the like, on the glass substrate that supports the TCC.

摘要: A computer system for automatic replacement of direct advertisements in scarce media includes an advertising server for selecting a direct advertisement based on certain criteria. Transaction results of the direct advertisement placement are reported back to the advertising server, and an associated accounting system. In one embodiment, the direct advertiser's server reports transactions back to the advertising server by email. In a second embodiment, a direct proxy server brokers the user's session (or interaction) with the direct advertiser's server, including transaction processing and the direct proxy server reports the results of transactions back to the advertising server and its associated accounting system. A direct proxy provides an independent audit of transactions at a remote direct advertiser's web site. The feedback of the results of direct advertisement transactions provides an efficient utilization of direct advertising space by way of an automated computer system with a predictive model for selection and distribution of direct advertising.
