    摘要: A method for shortening the analysis time, without adversely affecting the accuracy in the colorimetric analysis of an analyte. The method including the steps of:(a) Measuring the optical density for two or more times at suitable time intervals after the beginning of reaction to follow the variation of optical density,(b) Judging based upon the optical density obtained at the earlier measurement whether the reaction is to be further continued or not,(c) When it is judged that the continuation of the reaction is not necessary in terms of analytical accuracy, selecting the calibration curve corresponding to the reaction time,(d) While, when it is judged that the continuation of the reaction is necessary, further continuing the reaction, and(e) Repeating steps (b) and (d) until the judgement that the continuation of the reaction is not necessary is obtained.

    摘要: A chemical analysis apparatus comprises a slide loading section for holding chemical analysis slides, a section for applying a sample material to the chemical analysis slide, and an incubator provided with housing compartments for housing the chemical analysis slides side by side in a transverse direction on the same plane. The apparatus also comprises a read-out head slideable in the transverse direction and disposed to face the chemical analysis slide housed in the housing compartment via a readout opening formed in each housing compartment, thereby emitting light to the chemical analysis slide and measuring the reflection optical density thereof. A conveyance and feed-in system is disposed for conveying the chemical analysis slide held at the slide loading section to the sample applying section, conveying the chemical analysis slide having a reagent layer with the sample material applied thereon to a position facing an inlet opening of the housing compartment, and then feeding the chemical analysis slide into the housing compartment from the inlet opening thereof.

    摘要: One sigmoid calibration curve is split into three parts of low concentration region represented by a high degree function, intermediate concentration region represented by an exponential function and high concentration region represented by a high degree function according to the present invention. The boundary condition of the adjacent two functions is set so that the two functions have an equal slope at the boundary point; thereby, regression functions of the calibration curves in respective regions are found. The number of standard samples for finding a calibration curve can be reduced while the calibration curve found is of high accuracy.

    摘要: An analysis element for analyzing both amounts of glycated hemoglobin and total hemoglobin in an aqueous liquid sample to determine glycated hemoglobin content ratio in the sample. The element comprises a substrate layer for receiving a reaction mixture after the completion of an immunological reaction between the glycated hemoglobin in the sample and an enzyme-labelled antibody against the glycated hemoglobin, and a reagent layer. The substrate layer contains a non-diffusible substrate which forms a diffusible material in the presence of the enzyme of the enzyme-labelled antibody, the activity of the enzyme being effected relative to the steric hindrance due to the immunological reaction. The reagent layer contains a reagent composition for reacting with the diffusible material to form a dye detectable colorimetrically in a wavelength range which is not effected by an absorption spectrum of the hemoglobin. The total hemoglobin retained in the substrate layer and the dye formed in the reagent layer are colorimetrically analyzed separately, and the glycated hemoglobin content ratio is calculated from respective values. An analysis method using this analysis element is also provided.

    摘要: A method for correction of calibration curve in a dry analytical process for quantitative analysis of analyte in a liquid sample such as blood is disclosed. In the method, a calibration curve which has been previously determined for analysis of the analyte using a standard dry analytical element is corrected for application to a dry analytical element having deviated from the standard dry analytical element in its sensitivity to the analyte due to unintentional denaturation, variation, etc., utilizing an optical density determined on the above deviated dry analytical element which has not received spotting of a liquid sample containing the analyte.
