Abstract:
An LCD device is discussed in which a level shifter generates two switching signals, and transmits the generated signals to a gate driver of a liquid crystal display panel by the use of one voltage signal transmitted from a timing controller. The LCD device according to an embodiment includes a liquid crystal display panel in which a gate driver for alternately driving two transistors is formed; a data driver which drives data lines of the liquid crystal display panel; a timing controller which generates one voltage signal for switching the two transistors, and outputs the one voltage signal; and a level shifter which generates two of first and second switching signals to switch the two transistors by using the one voltage signal, and outputs the generated switching signals to the gate driver.

Abstract:
A method of driving a liquid crystal display device includes multiplying a frame frequency of an inputted current frame to generate a multiplied odd-numbered frame and a multiplied even-numbered frame; determining whether said current frame is a still image frame or a dynamic image frame; detecting an edge area at which a motion blur occurs from the multiplied odd-numbered frame and the multiplied even-numbered frame; converting gray level values of pixels positioned at the detected edge area at the multiplied odd-numbered frame and the multiplied even-numbered frame; and continuously outputting the multiplied odd-numbered still image frame and the multiplied even-numbered still image frame or continuously outputting the multiplied odd-numbered dynamic image frame and the multiplied even-numbered dynamic image frame having the converted gray level values in accordance with the determined result. A liquid crystal display device is also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a well type neutron counter containing a He-3 detector which includes at least one annular gas layer in a polyethylene moderator, which includes a body formed of a neutron moderator and having a sample cavity for inserting a sample of nuclear material therein; and an annular He-3 detector tube including at least one annular gas layer into which at least He-4 or He-3 gas or their mixture is injected and a plurality of anode rods stood in the annular gas layer with an equal spaces, wherein the He-3 detector tube is formed in an inside of the body so as to surround the sample cavity. The neutron counter has a largely reduced size, simplified structure and resultant decreased failure rate as compared to a conventional counter with a large volume.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for driving the data in a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel are presented. The method and apparatus prevent or reduce defects at the boundary between pixel blocks when the pixel blocks are sequentially driven on a block-by-block basis. The method includes applying data signals to a first data block, precharging a second data block that is adjacent to the first data block to a predetermined precharge voltage, and applying data signals to the second data block. The precharging prevents a large voltage difference at the boundary, thereby reducing defects.
