    摘要: Disclosed herein is a battery pack constructed such that a battery case, in which an electrode assembly is mounted, is made of a laminate sheet having high strength, side sealing parts of the battery case are formed in a specific shape, and a protection circuit module (PCM) is located in the inner space of at least one of the side sealing parts. The side sealing parts in themselves are used as a structure to decide the external shape of the battery pack, and, at the same time, are used as spaces for mounting the PCM therein. Consequently, it is possible to construct the battery pack without using additional pack sheathing members, to simplify the assembly process of the battery pack, and to manufacture the battery pack in a thinner and more compact structure with the reduced manufacturing costs. Furthermore, the PCM is located at either side of the battery cell while the PCM is spaced apart from electrode terminals. Consequently, the battery pack exhibits high safety against external impacts, such as dropping of the battery pack.

    摘要: Provided is a secondary battery having an electrode assembly installed in a battery case made up of a laminated sheet composed of an outer coating layer of a polymer film, a barrier layer of a metal foil and an inner sealant layer of a polyolefin material, wherein the metal foil of the barrier layer is formed of an aluminum alloy, the outer coating layer is formed of polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) and/or the outer surface of the outer coating layer is provided with a polyethylene naphthalate (PET) layer, and wherein the battery has a nail penetration resistance force of more than 6.5 kgf. The battery in accordance with the present invention exhibits further improved safety due to the ability to significantly reduce the probability of invasion, ignition or explosion as compared to conventional batteries, even when the battery is exposed to external physical impact or is pressed by sharp objects.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an optical interconnecting system for transmitting a large amount of data. The system includes a bidirectional transmitting/receiving circuit that is installed at each of both ends of a data line between chips or boards, selectively receives an electric signal or an optical signal, amplifies and converts the received signal and selectively outputs the signal. The optical interconnecting system integrates a transmitter and a receiver into one bidirectional transmitting/receiving circuit to reduce circuit design and manufacturing costs and decrease power consumption. The system can integrate the bidirectional transmitting/receiving circuit in a highly integrated semiconductor chip and extend it to a multi-dimension multi-channel form to produce a compact package. Moreover, the system can freely select an electric signal or an optical signal as input/output signal forms at input/output stages using the select switches of the bidirectional transmitting/receiving circuit and thus the system can be applied to various applications.

    摘要: Channel Equalization of a digital TV is disclosed. In channel equalization for restoring an original signal from a digital TV reception signal having passed through a channel, the present invention includes estimating an impulse response of the channel from a received signal having passed through the channel using conjugate-gradient algorithm, finding an equalizer coefficient in a frequency domain using the estimated impulse response of the channel, outputting a signal equalized by multiplying a signal resulting from transforming the received signal into the frequency domain by the found equalizer coefficient, and predicting to remove an amplified noise of the equalized signal using the conjugate-gradient algorithm in a time domain. Accordingly, the variation of the channel impulse response according to time can be tracked in the dynamic channel having fast channel variation as well as the static channel, whereby equalizing performance can be enhanced.
