Abstract:
An electroluminescent screen comprising a plurality of continuous phosphor stripes running the length of the screen formed on a panel for a color cathode-ray tube by applying film containing photosensitive material onto the panel. A shadow mask is attached to the panel, and the mask and film are irradiated by light from a light source. The shadow mask has on its concave face which faces the light source apertures arranged in substantially parallel rows, the apertures along the length of each of the rows being separated from each other by thin beam-intercepting bridge portions. The area on the shadow mask irradiated by the light is limited to cover only a part of the length of the rows of apertures by a shield plate having an opening for limiting the path of the light. The shield plate is moved so as to move the irradiated area on the shadow mask along the length of the rows of the apertures. The light source has sufficient length in the lengthwise direction of the rows of apertures to produce on the film the bright image of the apertures, each image being expanded to be connected with the adjacent bright images of the apertures on either side along the length of the row. The light source is gradually inclined synchronously with the moving of the irradiated area on the shadow mask, to always be kept substantially parallel to the rows of apertures in the irradiated area.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for producing a curing agent having an acidic substituent and an unsaturated maleimido group, including reacting, in an organic solvent, a maleimide compound (a) having at least two N-substituted maleimido groups in a molecule thereof with an amine compound (b) having an acidic substituent (represented by formula (I)); a thermosetting resin composition containing the curing agent (A) produced through the method and a compound (B) which is cured with the curing agent, wherein a cured product of the composition has a glass transition temperature of 200° C. or higher; and a prepreg and a laminated sheet produced therefrom. The curing agent produced through the method of the present invention has good solubility in an organic solvent and can provide a thermosetting resin composition exhibiting excellent adhesion-to-metal foil property, heat resistance, moisture resistance, flame retardancy, and copper cladding heat resistance, and low dielectric properties and low dielectric loss tangent. Therefore, the thermosetting resin composition can produce a prepreg or laminated sheet exhibiting excellent performance suitable for a printed wiring board for electronic devices and similar devices.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates, a plurality of seals arranged in a sealing area located around a display area in which an image is displayed through the liquid crystal layer, and two sealing portions each connecting ends of the seals to seal the space. The seals extend along the sealing area on the first substrate. The adjacent seals are disposed with a space therebetween in the direction from the center of the display area to the periphery thereof. The seals join the first substrate to the second substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disease prognosis prediction modeling method for preparing a model for predicting the prognosis of a specified disease from clinical laboratory test values for the disease by means of a computer, the method comprising the steps of: inputting a plurality of actually measured clinical laboratory test values for the disease and actual measured values of the prognoses into the computer; processing these values by a data mining method to determine one or a plurality of clinical laboratory test items which have an influence on the prognosis of the disease; determining a priority of the items with respect to the prognosis in a case where there are a plurality of the items; and establishing a judgment routine in which correlation of the plurality of clinical laboratory test items and the clinical laboratory test value ranges of the test items with the predicted value of the prognosis is stipulated on the basis of the priority, wherein the judgment routine is used as the model.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermosetting resin composition comprising (A) a metal salt of disubstituted phosphinic acid, (B) a maleimide compound having a N-substituted maleimide group in a molecule, (C) a 6-substituted guanamine compound or dicyandiamide and (D) an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups in a molecule and a prepreg and a laminated plate which are prepared by using the same. The prepregs obtained by impregnating or coating a base material with the thermosetting resin compositions of the present invention and the laminated plates produced by laminating and molding the above prepregs are balanced in all of a copper foil adhesive property, a glass transition temperature, a solder heat resistance, a moisture absorption, a flame resistance, a relative dielectric constant and a dielectric loss tangent, and they are useful as a printed wiring board for electronic instruments.

A keyboard includes a keyboard unit and casing. The keyboard unit is rectangular and includes a first and second surface, the first surface including at least one key disposed thereon, the second surface including a protrusion portion that protrudes therefrom. The protrusion portion includes an engagement hole open toward a first direction that corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the rectangle. The casing includes a third surface on which the keyboard unit is mounted, the third surface including an insertion or through hole into which the protrusion portion is insertable, the casing including an engagement protrusion provided at a position opposed to the engagement hole of the protrusion portion that is inserted into the through hole, the engagement protrusion being engaged with the engagement hole of the inserted protrusion portion when the keyboard unit is moved in the first direction. A method of assembling the keyboard is also described.
Abstract:
A substrate gap adjusting device adjusts a gap between first and second substrates in a composite substrate. In the substrate gap adjusting device, the composite substrate includes the first substrate; the second substrate that is oppositely bonded to the first substrate through a sealant, the second substrate having a smaller area than the first substrate; and liquid crystal that is injected into a space surrounded by the first substrate, the second substrate, and the sealant. The substrate gap adjusting device includes a first base that has a mounting section; a ring-shaped support member that is mounted on the mounting section and that comes in contact with a second surface out of two surfaces of the first substrate so as to support the composite substrate, the second surface being opposite to a first surface on which the second substrate is bonded; a substrate pressing section that has a movable range in a normal direction of a plane defined by the support member and comes in contact with the first substrate at a circumferential edge of the first surface in any position of the movable range; and an external applying section that transmits a force to the substrate pressing section, the force displacing the substrate pressing section within the movable range. In this structure, the circumferential edge is positioned at the outer side of the support member, as seen from the normal direction.
