An engine generator having a high-rigidity rigid skeletal member. A bottom cover supports the engine/generator unit. A wall-shaped vertical frame is disposed transversely of the engine generator in a front section of the bottom cover and rising from the bottom cover front section. A T-shaped center frame extends between a rear section of the bottom cover and the vertical frame. The skeletal member includes the bottom cover, the vertical frame and the center frame.

Engine cooling structure directs cooling air, introduced into a case by operation of a fan, to a cylinder block of an engine and then discharges the cooling air out of the case through an outlet port along meandering flow passages. Case cooling structure directs cooling along the inner surface of the case. Further cooling flow passage directs the air to vertically-oriented heat radiating fins so that the cooling air flows upward along the fins and then is discharged through the outlet port. Metal cooling-fan cover is supported by the lower cover via mounting members, and a resin-made cover guide is fastened to the engine together with supporting portions and interposed between the fan cover and the engine.

An outboard motor configured so that an engine is covered by an engine cover, an intake opening is provided to both sides of the engine cover, and air drawn into the engine cover from the intake opening is introduced to a throttle body. A discharging/interference-type muffler is provided partway along an intake channel for guiding air from the intake opening to the throttle body. The discharging/interference-type muffler is provided vertically in the interior of the engine cover, and the interior of the discharging/interference-type muffler is divided in two in the vertical direction.

A cleaning device for a soft type contact lens includes a housing having a cleaning chamber fed with a cleaning liquid, a lens receiving container within the cleaning chamber and a stirring device for generating a liquid flow within the cleaning chamber and for cleaning said contact lens with the liquid flow. In order to clean the contact lens, a high speed liquid flow is generated, so that four kinds of processes of cleaning, rinsing, sterilizing, and preserving are carried out automatically within only one cleaning chamber without moving the contact lens. Therefore the lenses are not stained with dirt when moving them by finger from one process or place to another.
