Abstract:
Apparatus (10, 200) for the provision of TNP therapy to a wound is described, the apparatus (10, 200) including: a waste canister (22, 204) into which fluid is aspirated from a wound by aspiration pump means (44, 248) and a fluid flow path (420, 422) for at least a part of said aspirated fluid on an outlet side of said aspiration pump means (44) wherein said fluid flow path (420, 422) on the outlet side comprises a silencing system (400) having a plurality of silencing elements (402, 404, 406) therein.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system (1) for preparing a beverage from a beverage base material (5), comprising an apparatus (2) for preparing a beverage extract from a beverage base material (5) and a liquid and a container (3) for containing the beverage base material (5) during storage, the container (3) comprising an identifier (4) provided with data (A), which apparatus (2) comprises a reader (14) for reading the data (A) in said identifier (4) and a controller (6) for controlling a beverage brewing process in dependence on the data (A) during operation of the apparatus (2). In this manner the brewing process parameters for the beverage extract can be optimized for the specific variety of beverage in a user-friendly manner.
Abstract:
A powder inhaler includes a container for storing powdered medicament. A metering member has a dosing recess and is moveable between a filling position in which the dosing recess is in alignment with an opening of the container, and an inhalation position in which it is in alignment with an inhalation channel. A mouthpiece is in communication with the inhalation channel for enabling inhalation of the dose of powdered medicament when in the inhalation position. A protective member provided between the metering member and the inhalation channel is moveable between a closed position in which the protective member covers the dosing recess, thereby preventing powdered medicament contained in the dosing recess from entering the inhalation channel, and an open position in which the protective member does not cover the dosing recess, thereby exposing the dosing recess to the inhalation channel for enabling inhalation of the dose of the powdered medicament.

Abstract:
A cooling apparatus body (11), for example, for a refrigerator (10), has a first compartment (15) intended for storage of items at atmospheric pressure and a second compartment (16) for storage of items at subatmospheric pressure, the two compartments being surrounded by surrounds formed by a thermal insulation element (13). The second compartment (16) is lined within the associated surround by a separately constructed hermetic liner (23) bonded to that surround. The liner (23) can be an integrally formed box-shaped component produced by, for example, injection moulding or blow moulding from plastics material. The resistance of the liner (23) to the internal load of subatmospheric pressure is provided primarily by the thermal insulation lining surround and the bond therewith, so that the liner, whilst providing a hermetic barrier relative to the surround, can be of inexpensive lightweight construction.
