摘要: A system for organizing data is provided that includes a default template library and a universe of fields, each of the fields selectable by a user to apply to a particular modifiable template. The default template library includes a plurality of modifiable templates adapted to describe financial transactions. The system may further includes a processor adapted to relate business data according to a plurality of relations established by the particular modifiable template. The template relates the subset of fields to describe a financial transaction. A method is provided for structuring financial data in a database of transactions that includes selecting a template of a transaction and selecting at least one field for the financial data from a set of fields associated with the template to form a customized template. The customized template describes a relationship between the financial data.

摘要: A time-division-multiplexed radio communication system and method uses transmitted-reference, delay-hopped (TR/DH) ultra-wideband (UWB) broadcast signal to provide a pilot signal to all mobile devices in a coverage area from which time synchronization is derived. Using this TR/DH UWB pulse pilot signal and low-complexity demodulation in the mobile devices, the mobile devices utilize a simple signal detection algorithm to acquire synchronization with the pilot signal. As a result, all devices in a local area network become synchronized to the system's bit clock. This greatly reduces the search space required for signal acquisition, receiver signal processing complexity, and length of message preambles required to synchronize the base station receiver to a transmission from any of the mobile devices.

摘要: A method of determining potentially fraudulent records in a database comprises defining a detection strategy. The detection strategy is targeted to detect existing records from the database and comprises multiple inputs. The detection strategy is executed on existing records and results are displayed for review by a user. The detection strategy is then dynamically calibrated as desired based on input received from the user, and any modified results are displayed. A calibrated detection strategy is set, and then it is executed on new records to detect potentially fraudulent records warranting investigation. A computer system having a processor and memory storing instructions for performing such methods is also described. A computer readable storage medium having computer-executable instructions for performing such methods is also described.

摘要: A turbo decoder system utilizing a MAP decoding algorithm has a predetermined number of turbo decoder modules for decoding segments of a turbo code component code word in parallel, thereby expanding the block-length and data rate capability of the turbo decoder. Upon completion of any half iteration of the MAP decoding algorithm, the a posteriori bit probability estimates are provided to an interleave/de-interleave-and-convert-data function block wherein they are re-ordered, segmented, used to modify the original received data samples, and provided back to the respective turbo decoder modules as input data samples for the systematic bits. Decoding continues in this manner until a predetermined number of half iterations is performed, and data decisions are made on the final a posteriori estimates.

摘要: A feedback control for a turbo decoder controls the feedback between component decoders of the turbo decoder by substituting either a neutral value or a weighted value for the channel transition probabilities utilized by each component decoder during the iterative decoding process. A control switch selects either estimated channel transition probabilities, modifications of these values, or neutral values as the channel transition probabilities utilized by the next component decoder in the subsequent decoding iteration.

摘要: A circular MAP decoder for error-correcting trellis codes that employ tail biting produces soft-decision outputs provides an estimate of the probabilities of the states in the first stage of the trellis, which probabilities replace the a priori knowledge of the starting state in a conventional MAP decoder. The circular MAP decoder provides the initial state probability distribution in either of two ways. The first involves a solution to an eigenvalue problem for which the resulting eigenvector is the desired initial state probability distribution; with knowledge of the starting state, the circular MAP decoder performs the rest of the decoding according to the MAP decoding algorithm. The second is based on a recursion for which the iterations converge to a starting state distribution. After sufficient iterations, a state on the circular sequence of states is known with high probability, and the circular MAP decoder performs the rest of the decoding according to the MAP decoding algorithm.

摘要: In a banking application system including numerous banking applications, a data management framework allows for the generalized storage and subsequent access of result data. Through the application of the framework to the raw processing data generated by one of the banking applications, the result data is stored in a general storage location. Through this framework, the data is then readily accessible by all other banking applications. This framework includes a header field, characteristics data and key figure data. This removes proprietary restrictions on the data itself and thus makes it available to the other applications, increasing cross-system efficiency by allowing other applications to access and subsequently use the result data.
