    摘要: In one embodiment, the invention provides a rupture disk assembly having a rupture disk and a rupture disk holder. The rupture disk holder has a first annular member downstream of the rupture disk, a second annular member upstream of the rupture disk, and an optional third annular member upstream of the second annular member. An outer peripheral portion of the rupture disk is sandwiched between the first and second annular members; and, if a third annular member is present, (a) the second annular member is sandwiched between the outer peripheral portion of the rupture disk and the third annular member, and (b) the third annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the rupture disk. However, if the third annular member is not present, the second annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the rupture disk. In another embodiment, the invention provides an equipment access assembly having an equipment access cover, an equipment access cover mount, and an annular member between the equipment access cover and cover mount. The annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the equipment access cover. In yet another embodiment, the invention provides a valve mounting assembly having a downstream valve mount, an upstream valve mount, a valve intermediate the downstream and upstream valve mounts, and an annular member intermediate the valve and the upstream valve mount. The annular member includes a fluid port aimed at the valve.

    摘要: Accumulation of polymer on equipment, which is in contact with polymerizable material during normal process operation, is minimized by the method and apparatus of the present invention. The method involves positioning and affixing the equipment, such as a pressure relief device, to process apparatus, such as a distillation column, proximate to a wetted region comprising liquid phase fluid in the process apparatus, such that the moving liquid phase fluid is at least intermittently in contact with the equipment and one or more of accumulated polymerizable material, condensate comprising same, and polymer, is washed off of the equipment. The apparatus of the present invention includes: a process vessel having at least one wall forming an interior space which includes at least one wetted region having moving liquid phase fluid therein during operation of a process in the process vessel; and equipment affixed to the wall of the process and positioned proximate to the wetted region such that, during operation of a process in the process vessel, the moving liquid phase fluid at least intermittently contacts the equipment, and one or more of accumulated polymerizable material, condensate comprising same, and polymer, is washed off of the equipment. The method and apparatus of the present invention are effective for maintaining the service-readiness of the equipment, which provides for safe long-term operation of the process apparatus.

    摘要: The present invention relates to recovery of aqueous (meth)acrylic acid by condensation of a (meth)acrylic acid-containing stream to produce aqueous (meth)acylic acid having a higher concentration of (meth)acrylic acid and a lower concentration of formaldehyde, i.e., not more than 0.1 weight %, than the aqueous (meth)acrylic acid produced using hithertofore known separation methods. The (meth)acrylic acid-containing stream may be the raw product stream of catalytic oxidation at least one C2-C4 alkane or alkene.
