摘要: The present invention provides a backup method for a storage control device that instructs a storage device to split a primary volume and a copy volume in the storage device, and to execute a backup operation from the copy volume to a backup volume. The storage device includes the backup volume for the copy volume. The backup method includes: the storage control device allocating a specified number of generations of the backup volume in the storage device for the copy volume; instructing the storage device to split the pair; executing a virus check on the copy volume; copying contents of the copy volume to the backup volume as a most recent generation backup if no virus is detected; updating generations in the backup volume for generations prior to the most recent generation; and instructing the storage device to re-link the split pair.

摘要: A magnetooptical recording apparatus records data in a recording region of a magnetooptical recording medium. Information representing the contents of the data recorded in the recording region is recorded in a lead-in region of the magnetooptical recording medium. The magnetooptical recording apparatus includes a recording head unit, a timer and a system controller. The recording head unit records data processed by a specified signal processing procedure on the magnetooptical recording medium. The timer measures elapsed time from the start of a recording operation of the recording head unit. The system controller interrupts the recording operation of the recording head unit. The system controller interrupts the recording operation of the recording head unit temporarily when the recording time measured by the timer coincides with a predetermined time, moves the recording head unit to the lead-in region of the magnetooptical recording medium, and controls the recording head unit to record information representing the contents of the data recorded in the recording region of the magnetooptical recording medium.

摘要: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a magneto-optical recording medium includes a semiconductor laser device for radiating a laser beam to the magneto-optical recording medium, a driving circuit for supplying a driving signal to the semiconductor laser device, a first oscillating circuit for generating first high-frequency signals superposed on the driving signal from the driving circuit during recording on the magneto-optical recording medium, and a second oscillating circuit for generating second high-frequency signals superposed on the driving signal from the driving circuit during reproduction from the magneto-optical recording medium. The first high-frequency signals are of a frequency twice the maximum recording frequency or higher, and the second high-frequency signals are of a frequency different from that of the first high-frequency signals. The semiconductor laser device is fed during recording and during reproduction with signals which are the driving signals from the driving circuit superposed on by the first high frequency signals from the first oscillating circuit and with signals which are the driving signals from the driving circuit superposed on by the second high frequency signals.
