    摘要: A fuel injection system (10) for a multiple-cylinder engine includes a single solenoid-operated fuel metering valve (12) connected through fuel lines (50) to a plurality of fuel injection nozzles (52). The fuel metering valve (12) has a solenoid-operated movable valve member (14) that opens and closes a single discharge opening (26) having a first metering orifice (58). Each injection nozzle (52) has an equally calibrated second metering orifice (90) that serves to distribute the fuel metered by the first orifice evenly over all of the fuel injection nozzles. Preferred forms of the fuel injection nozzle is also disclosed.

    摘要: Disclosed is a fuel injection type carburetor of a multicylinder internal combustion engine. The carburetor comprises: an intake manifold comprising a plurality of horizontal intake passages; a throttle body connected to a converging portion of said intake manifold; a throttle valve installed within said throttle body; and a fuel injector arranged downstream from said throttle valve in a manner such that injected fuel can impinge against at least a part of said throttle valve. An opening direction of a valve portion of said throttle valve against which portion injected fuel impinges is substantially the same as the direction of fuel injection from said fuel injector.

    摘要: Disclosed is a device for injecting fuel into an intake air supply passage which is communicated with the combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine.The device comprises: a swingable throttle shaft having a hole formed therein along a longitudinal axis thereof and traversing an intake air supply passage; a throttle valve plate fixed to the throttle shaft for throttling the intake air supply passage so that the throttle valve plate can vary the opening of the air supply passage due to the swing of the throttle shaft; and a fuel injection outlet portion formed at the proximity of the surface of the throttle valve plate and communicated with one of the hole. Fuel supplied from the fuel injection outlet portion is uniformly admixed with the air flow which is caused to contract by the throttle valve plate.

    摘要: An improved device for controlling, either directly or indirectly, the injection of pressurized fuel into an internal combustion engine. The device comprises a body having a fuel inlet, a fuel outlet and a fuel return, as well as a valve mounted therein. The valve is actuated by an electromagnet and is adapted to establish communication between the fuel inlet and the fuel outlet when the valve is actuated. The device has a fuel accumulator comprising an opening in one side of the body and a diaphragm mounted across the opening to form an enclosed volume within the body. The enclosed volume communicates with the fuel input so that the diaphragm deflects outwardly with respect to the interior of the body in response to increases in the pressure of the pressurized fuel provided to the fuel input. The improvement comprises a pressure regulator having a regulatory valve disposed within the body and actuated by the diaphragm. The regulatory valve has an input in communication with the enclosed volume and an output in communication with the fuel return. The regulatory valve is adapted to establish communication between the enclosed volume and the fuel return when the pressure of the pressurized fuel in the enclosed volume reaches a predetermined value.

    摘要: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition, which enables introducing fuel injection quantities into combustion chambers in a manner that is controlled precisely in terms of quantity and of the instant of injection. The fuel injection device includes a first magnet valve by which fuel at injection pressure is pre-stored in a reservoir chamber, and the pre-stored quantity is ascertained by measurement of the deflection stroke of a reservoir piston which defines the reservoir chamber. Once the pre-storing process is complete, the pre-stored fuel quantity is then delivered to the injection valve with the air of a second magnetic valve. All that the fuel injection pump needs besides the two magnet valves and a control unit is a pre-feed pump, which pumps fuel into a high-pressure reservoir, so that while making limited demands on the pump generating the high pressure, a simple and very precisely functioning fuel injection device is created.
